The song is called Handroid. He made the song with the premise that u can make a really cool song with nothing but tapping.  This is off one of his earlier solo albums. And he didnt leave Siam Shade. Siam Shade broke up because they felt that they had reached the peak of their career and decided to go seperate ways. You should pick up the other members solo albums as they are all very good.

personally I don't like paul guilbert. I think he is overated.

Good techniques? yeah, he sure does have one. But he's got way too many crappy songs, which he claims to be "pop" songs. I think they are just gay.(listen to something like his newest song, "boku no atama" then I think you'll know what I mean.) He's musical ideas are often simple and mediocre, plus his licks are often too mechanical and lacks in creativity. He does have a few great songs tho.
