its amazing how you caught up in the first race. i did pretty good in rainbow road for a first timer since it is a store demo. why must it be 50 bucks? oh and nintendo should put some black holes in rainbow road.

The most important thing to do is memorize the course. Until then, take it easy and don't be afraid to let go of the gas or even hit the brakes if you feel you can't finish a turn.

You probably won't win many races on Rainbow Road like that, but you probably won't place last either.

That was awesome on the second lap, the banana that could have sent you off course (or is that section scripted so you'll always jump through the rings?) It looked like the banana would have sent you off course but you tricked and made it anyway.

No, if something slows you down before the ramp, you'll definitely fall off the course. What the weird rainbow rings are for is to turn you around so you can land on the next part of the course.

You don't have to do a trick to get to the other side. The rainbows carry you over as long as you're going full speed.

I hate inward drifting bikes but my point is that on Mario Kart Wii, to win races, you must use, and master, the inward drifting bikes.

Lets face it, bikes are a lot faster than karts.

I hope Nintendo exclude bikes in the next MK game.

I didn't race in these matches because i thought we were doing clarinetMD's cup this weekend, and i had to go out and i wasn't back in time, when i did come back this all caught me by suprise, had i known we were doing my cup i would have gotten back in time.

To be fair, few vehicles can golden 'shroom around that bend on SNES Mario Circuit 3 without going into the sand. The temptation is to keep hammering the button when you've got that item, but it's often better to tap it when you need the speed boost on a course like that.

Phew! I disconnected right at the end of Rainbow Road and was worried the game would put me in last even though I finished in first. It's done that to me before. Talk about frustrating.

Looks like red carpet interviewer extraordinaire knows a thing or two about kart racing. I'm glad I was able to compete today as I won't be around most of tomorrow.

Anyway, my only nag this time is that stupid Bullet Bill that dropped me off to where I couldn't reach the boost at the end of Mario Circuit.
