@mouthforwar17-giving them an extra shot works sometimes but you have to watch out for short-tempered players. They're the ones who want to throw fist when they run out of paint or when they get shot in the face from five feet away. Cheating doesn't teach you anything except how to fail.
I would suggest kendo swords or boken but the key thing here is technique. They have the right idea, they don't want to hurt each other, they just want to have fun. Study and learn technique with the foam swords.
try graduating to steel swords...its way more fun and it looks better..plus u actually have to noe what ur doing..not just flail around aimlessly with a fake sword
u guys should really study the actual martial arts of various sword fighting cultures..like european or oriental etc. it can only help better ur fight make it look more entertaining instead of a bunch of kids swingin foam at eachother

the concept is to make as accessible and as much like a pick up game as possible. Most of these people who show up have never done anything other than stick fighting as a kid. Plate armor and a 120 lbs battle axe require training or risk of death.
best fighting is when u are fully armored with plates or in mail strenghten by leather under it and use some really bad-ass weaponry of medieval ages... altough some are not allowed

Its dissapointing to see the usual postings of some flogbag who's had two kendo lessons saying that he's going to kick arse. Having been involved in many different stlyes and systems of sword fighting I can tell you for fact that I beaten 2nd Dan Martial Artists because the freestyle fighting shown here is different to fighting based on cartas.

Though they could change the clubs name to LIBERTY UNIVERSITY BOFFING CLUB for in the end boffing isin't real sword fighting. Only a lighter form of it where you can hit and strike to the end unlike training with real weapons. That's why most of those people are careful and go slowly because there is that tiny fear of losing...
that was rather boring, just a bunch of chasing and evading, there weren't any actuall fights at all. I myself am training in the Pa-kua sword form, so I know what I am talking about, plus, I have put hundreds of research into swords and weapons. But ya, as far as I can see, no one here really knew what they were doing, most of their swings and thrusts didn't have any power or control behind them at all.
Those thigs are easier to swing around than real swords but so what? It isn't gay because of that, but why? Because they don't swing them around like in the movies where actors or stuntmen have practised those particular moves for weeks perhaps months. Those people are just having fun so screw you idiots who think you are better in what you can't possibly understand or do.

Right... They are still only having fun and that's it. Not trying to be some sort of great swordmasters. Though they could change the clubs name to LIBERTY UNIVERSITY BOFFING CLUB for in the end boffing isin't real sword fighting. Only a lighter form of it where you can hit and strike to the end unlike training with real weapons. That's why most of those people are careful and go slowly because there is that tiny fear of losing...

that was rather boring, just a bunch of chasing and evading, there weren't any actuall fights at all. I myself am training in the Pa-kua sword form, so I know what I am talking about, plus, I have put hundreds of research into swords and weapons. But ya, as far as I can see, no one here really knew what they were doing, most of their swings and thrusts didn't have any power or control behind them at all.

Those thigs are easier to swing around than real swords but so what? It isn't gay because of that, but why? Because they don't swing them around like in the movies where actors or stuntmen have practised those particular moves for weeks perhaps months. Those people are just having fun so screw you idiots who think you are better in what you can't possibly understand or do.
