I like Evander - but he is fighting because HE IS BROKE!!!!!!!! He lost his house last year (30,000 square feet - and $10,000 elextric bills every month) to the repo man - it just got too expensive. Why didn't Mike Tyson, or Lennox Lewis, immediatly challenge Holyfield after he beat Douglas?? (rhetorical question) because Evander HolyField was the greatest heavyweight of our generation, his first challenger was the almost 260 pound beast George Foreman, and Holyfield impressively wins, and Foreman impressively fought, I think that sent chills down the heavyweight division, when they saw the heart of Evander finnally, he cannot be disputed he is G.O.A.T #1 Muhammad Ali #2 Evander Holyfield

He beat an old man Jersey Joe Walcott, after being beaten for the entire fight the referee said he could have one more round until he stopped it, then Rocky got in a lucky shot. Everyone of his major fights were with boxers way way way past their prime; Charles, Walcott, Louis, Moore. Heck! Archie Moore dropped Marciano in the FIRST ROUND and Moore was 42 years old and was a light-heavy at the time. A lot of heart, but very overrated.

A lot of modern fighters felt that Marciano was a over hyped cruiser weight who was lucky more than anything. Joe Louis was past his prime. Joe Walcott and Archie Moore both gave Marciano trouble and the heavyweight fighters of Holmes had evolved into bigger, better fighters. Holmes was Ali's former sparring partner and I'm sure Ali talked about how he would destroy Marciano.

holyfield used to fight at crusier when it was a 190lbs limit, he would like every other boxer outside the heavys have to dry out to make weight, his natrual weight was 195, he went to heavy in his prime and fought at 204, 205.. he gained 10lbs which isnt impossibe without drugs, later on when he got into his 30's and a 30 something thichkness set in he slowly gained another 8 to 10lbs, this has happened to many soccer players, once they hit 30 they gain a bit and lose speed and movement

He didnt move up to 218. He fought most of his Heavyweight fights between 205 and 208. Its not hard to move up 15-20 pounds when you follow the right fitness program and Evander has always had the best fitness pgrm in the world. Remember that muscle is heavier than fat. Bulking up in stregnth will make up heavier alot faster than will eating to gain fat. Plus Evander is not a small guy(6'2). Just because the man dedicated himself 150% thru his career shldnt mean we penalize his success&sacrifice
