  • You got the last bar of the song uploaded. Congratulations on fixing the problem and thanks. The missing final chord used to be the only flaw in an otherwise excellent rendition of this great song.

  • Thnx! To be honest I gave up on it but....it has fixed itself ;o)

    Long may it last

  • Hello, Keltickev. You've heard from me before. I loved your version of " Green Grow the Rashes O." But don't see you doing a version of this. I would like to. And do you, or do you not think this version is a little to uptempo? Seems everyone does it that way. I normally perfer uptemo on most songs, but this seems to be a ballad to me. Give it a shot, my friend. You could certainly do it justice.

  • This is in fact me, with my long-time singing partner some years ago! I feel this needs sung with much fervour and feeling ie like this. It can be done as a poem - slowly - but this is my preference.

  • nice take - check oot Sheena Wellington's version at the Parly in 1999. The fist time on YouTube - I've just posted for Rabbie;s big day. Help spread the word.

I prefer your version - honest. It's at the riigt temoo - but you dont have Sheena's supporting cast!

'A the best - and have a great day. I'm sure you will. Justy heading off to Alloway, then Mauchline, then Glasgow Catherdral for a memorial service. Then...the pub - one Rabbie drank in in Muckhhart, Clackmannanshire!

  • great song, greatly sung.. thanks for sharing mate, much appreciated. makes me wonder why the song stopped while being uploaded..

  • me too! tried it three times and got the same result....never mind. Thanks for the feedback

  • many thanks....

  • Best rendition of Robert Burns classic that I've heard yet. Keep singing and posting you are doing a wonderful job. P.S. you seem to capture the real spirit of the song/poem.

  • thanks my friend....I am trying ... ;o)

  • davvero deliziosa, bravissimi!!! ho adorato questa canzone dalla prima volta che l'ho sentita, e la vostra versione è davvero fantastica.W questo meraviglioso Rabbi Burns he is right

  • thanks!

  • Fabulous blend...wish the song hadn't stopped so abruptly! You and Ross sound so good together.

  • Thanks! I don't know why it stops so suddenly. The original does not and I have uploaded it 3 times now but....its always the same. Its only a few seconds from the end too...never mind. You can hear all the verses anyway...its only the last repeat that's missing....I will try it again when I can
