Accept that each Filipino may call this soccer or football, OK? Both are correct. But the true name for this sport is not just soccer and not just football, but it is association football.

Philippines Football Federation is over 100 yrs old, one of the oldest in the world, a lot of filipinos are oblivious about that fact. The power house team of asia during the pre-war era. Philippines produced one of the greatest footballer of all time, his name is Paulino Alcantara who played for Phil. and FC Barcelona same club that Ronaldinho, Messi,Cruyff and other big footballers played for.Our own Paulino is the clubs all-time goal scorer, it's a shame that not many pinoys knows him.
