Ron Paul has been saying all along that stimulus packages is not going to solve the problem. Printing money out of thin air is going to cause serious problems and now the gig is up. Borrowing and spending can't go on forever. One thing I don't understand is can we even pay the interest on all this bailout money? If we aren't our debt is increasing even when we are not borrowing any money.

Watching you two debate about Obama was really kind of annoying and sad. Two black guys talking about how good/bad Obama is. Obama is simply another politician. One with some skill. Blacks are all messed up about this guy. Some too happy, others, like Demcad, too willing to condemn him. The thing I don't agree with that I hear no-one talking about is the capitol gains tax. My parents worked as entreprenuers and saved up a very healthy stockpile of cash, and property that the government will unfortunately take 30% (if I remember correctly) right off the top should my brother, sister, and I decide to liquidate the estate after their death. That will total in the hundreds of thousands, equating to roughly 5 years of their lives that they worked FOR NOTHING.

The thing I don't agree with that I hear no-one talking about is the capitol gains tax. My parents worked as entreprenuers and saved up a very healthy stockpile of cash, and property that the government will unfortunately take 30% (if I remember correctly) right off the top should my brother, sister, and I decide to liquidate the estate after their death. That will total in the hundreds of thousands, equating to roughly 5 years of their lives that they worked FOR NOTHING.

I enjoyed this video. I think so far the biggest change Obama has made is to have pressed the accelerator harder in the direction Bush was already going. I'm amazed when someone criticizes a person for questioning leadership in a republic like our own. I always thought that was the point! Keep up what you're doing!

part1, on president Obama. He's the US president, lawyer, law professor, he's not a messiah. On the whole I still think he will be a much better president than Bush was, or McCain would have been.
Obama is not the polar opposite of Bush as president, but he's different enough. And different enough from McCain (who would have changed even less of Bush's policies). He is walking a kind of tight rope when it comes to implementing policies changes.

part2, The US is like a mac truck with 2 trailers attached. It's the worlds biggest economy, military, government, etc. If you try to do a 3 second u-turn in this thing it will flip over and burst into flames. A smaller organization can make much quicker changes.
That being said, it would be wishful thinking to believe the Obama administration is going to eventually reverse all of Bush's policies. Not going to happen. This is world politics, not a kids morale tale.
