It IS an amazing band, which I've been listening to since I was 14 years old, and still to this day.. Like you said, everything fits so perfectly. But to me the solo's only fit the whole in the beginning of their carreer, like on "show no mercy".. Then they gradually became some competion to be as chaotic as possible or something, and IMO monotonous.. but anyway, ofcourse that's just personal taste. In the end, yep, Slayer rules!
