This has got to make you, not just be afraid of rats, but also REALLY fear them. Night shift is an AWESOME BOOK. (And for those who saw the video of King's response to twi-hards bitching about him) This is the actual AH-MAZE-ING BOOOOK.
i saw a movie in my childhood in which.. a chid dies by an truck accident and then his dad steels his deadbody from the graveyard and bury him in front of his home.. and the child kills his family something like that.. does any 1 knows about it?? please tell me
The short story is truly amazing! This movie version does a pretty good job taking something that was so short and turning it into an hour and a half film. As always the book was better, but this movie does a pretty good job too. These were the good 'ol days of "old school" Horror!
@adz24888 Lol I did too! May dad showed it to me. Though the only part I remember is a guy reaching into a hole in the wall or something and getting his arm eaten off. And thus was my lesson of the day. Don't stick your hand into dark places.
@ blur32ism the same can be said about the shawshank redemption mate. Short story which to be honest is pretty dull, but gets turned into one of the greatest films ever made.
I've actually used machinery much like the machinery in the Bachman Mill, including a picker. My job reminds me of 'Graveyard Shift' combined with 'The Mangler'.
Stephen King is an overrated hack. His novels are for people who have a limited vocabulary and use a lot of profanity because they have no other way to express themselves. Only in America could someone like King be successful. In the UK he's considered to be a joke and a cliche. J.K. Rowling sells more books than he does.
@martygwest thats because shes british and all brits are nationalist for some reason. like on top gear there always making fun or cracking jokes on American cars.
id give the movie a 5/10 because its not his best movie but their is a funny part in the movie when the owner says rats it a funny way kinda at the end of the movie
@ChocoSyrupOnMyAbs Dunno cuz I didn't read the book....just worked on formatting the movie for several different formats.. Wish I could find that song again on closing credits.......someday......now I work for a different studio so lost access.
in the book they go down to the basement clean around with hoses 1 guy gets bit they go home come back another guy gets bit by rats hall goes down into sub-basement and makes the boss come along sub basement full of giant rats and really big rats 5 feet tall on their belly hall pushes warlick into rats he dies hall runs rats dog pile him and chew him to death it's alot scarier than it sounds i mean the rats chew on the hose as soon as they get down there so they know their in trouble
this movie was so bad omg i saw it once when i was little and saw when the bat thing was chasing that guy and i was so excited to re watch it until i started watching it, i was hoping it get better as it progressed but nope i was wrong
when i first saw this, i had a nightmear about it. i was stuck running for my life till i was cornered and it bit me and shook me around and just tore me bit by bit.
@gaIIery I worked on the cable editing and formatting of this movie......and it has some really good lines and quirk personalities that will stick in your brain. I also wish I had dubbed off the song on the closing credits ....it's catchy. The screenwriters should be congratulated for raw southern dialogue without cornball. I have the agree this is a classic along with Nightmare on Elm Street (the first one).
Terrible movie. Not one of those, so bad its entertaining horror movies, it was just boring and not scary. The short story was waaay better. I guess that's true about most of King's work.
