  • why would she lie? she was around many famous people...and still is.

  • Any guy who's ever dated a woman who's an addict knows that pathological lying is often an accompaniment. You believe them until you realize how often they tell whoppers and especially when you find that so many of the lies are found out to be such via your own research or the contradictions of the liar and/or their friends. Everyone wants to believe people and gives them the benefit of the doubt until they catch them and realize some people lie and don't care about who they hurt by it.

  • Yes molly how do u unlock ur phone?

  • In case you don't know this but , it's an old family secret in this world, too much of this going on in this world.

    I believe her

  • I feel like she is. In her books she states that she told one of her friends about the Mick jagger incident and it was all over the news at the time I mean you could always look it up yourself. If there were articles from when she was that young about that it could definately verify some things.

  • I think is true because she always was appearing in pics with her daddy in suspiciuos attitudes.

Watch the pics of Mack.. and daddy and draw conclusions....

    Great Mack..

  • Why would she lie about this I mean to write a book come on she could have included alot of stuff she didn't include in the book trust me there is more then anyone knows

  • Was it really consensual? Go back to her childhood where it started. Come on! It was a twisted, drug-induced haze of incest! She wasn't the initiator! He had a hold over her. I don't think you ever "let" your father have sex with you. Again, shake your head. He was her first sexual experience - gross! He robbed her! of her first sexual experience (he just took that from her), shattered her childhood self-worth, and destroyed his image of a father. Don't stick up for a pervert.

  • Hi. She is telling the truth. She did not need to put herself thru this. So I believe her and the way she described her emotions after her father had sex / raped her and aftemath. Read her book. It says a lot about herself. Thanks Gals!

  • I sadly think she was telling the truth. John Phillips is a fucked up dude.

  • i believe mackenzie phillips, i think john was a really twisted person, but an amazing songwriter, as a musician myself, i think some of the best writers are really extravagant people, look at kurt cobain, jimmy page, eric clapton, these guys were on heroin for years, and wrote there best music while on this, and when the norm becomes boring, famous musicians go to other extremes, because of who they are, people give into these,

  • This was the most pointless video I have ever watched. Of course no one would go on tv and say they has sex with their father if it was not true. Also she brought up the entire Mick thing years and years ago so it had nothing to do with selling books.

  • @SOLISDEUS

Bwwa-ha-ha! X^D That was very clever indeed!

  • pfff

  • i hate the way you type

  • I would have to agree, I don't even know which type of language they're "writing" in..

  • I just finished Mackenzie's book and I believe her. She confided to women in her family at the time and it was swept under the rug. Mackenzie had to live with the shame/horror of her Dad forcing himself on her. She confronted him with the word "rape" he said it was "making love"! This man played cruel mind games, introduced her to drugs early and messed with her spirit/sense of worth. What was left of her really after he literally f*cked her up. No wonder she was hellbent on destroying herself.

  • @goldengirl67 yet for 10 years she continued to put herself in a situation where this could happen drugging herself up so bad she was beyond any controll letting him do what he wanted she said herself it was CONSENSUAL then later decided oh no wait it was not consensual anymore she was 19 thru 29 during this not some little kid beeing abbused she was a full grown adult a MARRIED full grown adult and she is accusing a man who is dead and has no way to defend himself or even respond its cowardly

  • He was not an original member of "mamas and papas" ... he was a member of "THE Mamas & THE Papas".

  • I believe Mackenzie Phillips.

  • Yes you are. You are also entitled to your bad spelling, grammar, and ignorance. Meanwhile, I am e-n-t-i-t-l-e-d to my opinion, too. So, if a man has an opinion, he can express it in whatever crass way he wants ('ten inches of tough love' -- that's just sick, man), but a woman is unloading estrogen if she has the nerve to disagree? You're clearly predisposed to see what any woman says through a misogynistic lens. Of course you don't believe her; she's not laughing at your jokes or faking an O.

  • I know your type you like to talk crap but why not lets take this issue to a court of law where the facts can come out are they afraid . All this is she said she said and there is no real investigation to the facts.

  • I don't like to talk crap, I just don't like being yelled at by some anti-feminist jerk who picked a fight with me when I wasn't even talking to him. Your statements aren't very clear, frankly, so I'm not sure what you mean. Court of law? For what, to defend my opinion? What are you even talking about? The question was "Do you believe her story?" My answer was "Yes". Nobody's going to court - dude's dead, and anyway, since she was an adult, there would, sadly, be no crime to convict him of.

  • By the way, if by 'people like me' you mean victims of sexual abuse who tell their stories, and by 'afraid' you mean, have the courage to go to court and fight for justice, then you're right. We are. And in case you haven't been paying attention since, I don't know, the 70's, it is now socially acceptable for a woman to speak up about sexual crimes perpetrated against her. Occasionally, that results in made-up stories, and that's unfortunate, but most of the time, the stories are founded.

  • I have to amend my statement. There would be a crime to convict him of. Rape, on several occasions. Before the relationship became consensual, she says she woke up several times with her pants around her ankles. Even if she was drug-addled, if she didn't give her consent, legally, that's rape. Not to mention a violation of the sacred bond of trust between father and daughter. So, there would be a crime, but he's dead, so there's nobody left to convict.

  • Yes. And she is a drug addict. So because she was a drug addict and a poor employee does that exempt her from being a victim of rape, incest, and child abuse? To me, they go hand in hand. Healthy children don't often dive headlong into drugs. Also, we're talking late seventies; abortion had only barely become legal, and clinics were being firebombed. It wouldn't be THAT easy to verify. In '77 my mom's abortion appointment was shrouded in secrecy to protect her life. NOBODY knew about it.

  • It's too disturbing to be a lie. Why would she say that? Why do her sisters Chynna and Bijou both believe her? It's so important to be receptive to stories of abuse. If we create a culture in which people who claim to have been abused are vilified, we will be discouraging victims from coming forward. Is it possible that it is a well-orchestated lie? Yes. Is it likely? I don't think so. Just watch her interview; she's blunt but not dramatic. She's taking it seriously, not begging for attention.

  • i dont know anything about it, but it sounds to me like she's not telling the truth...it really just feels like a publicity stunt to me

  • No one lies about this unless they want to sell their soul. If society was open to hearing the truth and learnt to recognise truth, rape and abuse would be far less likely to happen. Thank god there is someone else here who sees that too 'Ingwstx' made the first sensible comment about this. She is allowed to heal and tell her story so it does not happen to others and society can learn.

  • How is her story not believable? Do you know how many sex offenders there are in just one city? Hundreds.

  • 1) Mackenzie is telling the truth.

    2) Molly is hotter.

    3) Do you ladies have to drive so much? It's not good for the environment.

  • youtube doesnt pay moron.

  • I think Mackenzie Phillips is a mentally ill, lying drug addict. The whole story is idiotic. Case and point, the Mick Jagger claim. Yeah, sure, all men are perverts and want to bed Mackenzie! Bull kaka! Her sister Bijou is twenty years younger than Mackenzie. If she wants us to believe her allegations against her father are true she'll have to explain why she left her little sister with such a man? What a creepy broad. The women needs help. I wonder if Jagger will sue, I hope so.

  • i think she is telling the truth.

people should be able to distinguish what is fiction and what is non-fiction.

  • I think she is telling the truth. She told that story about her and Mick Jagger about 10 years ago on Howard Stern so if that is a lie then she is sticking to it. And you are correct, who would say that their dad had sex with them unless it was true??

  • i think teh videos are great

  • I hope not!

  • i think she is telling the truth, i just wish they had taped it..

  • Who gives an eff? Why are we so concerned with "celebrities" that we are actually talking about this?

  • She didn't say Mick Jagger raped her. She said she she had sex with him. I believe she enjoyed it.

As for what she said about her father, I believe her. Many people new apparently and some are coming out to support her.

One the daughters of another band member said that she knew. Her father had told her about it years ago.

Don't know why no one told the police back then. I guess it was so insidious and disgusting people just wanted to pretend they didn't know. That would be easier i guess.

  • she is lying so her book will be a bestseller. that's all it really is...

  • I'm going out on a limb here, why on earth would Mick Jagger rape her? i mean honestly, where does this woman come up with these stupid lies? a Harry Potter book? if so then she must still be on drugs.

  • Im gunna go out on a limb here.......and say that if incest is Illegle, She needs to go to jail......some people will do anything for that fix

  • She's just trying to make money selling books, etc. If you buy her book, you're an idiot.

  • I'll check it out from the library, like I did Val's.

  • Who cares? These people are leaches off society. The media should focus on people who actually contribute to society like scientists, nurses, doctors, firemen, engineers, social workers, etc. instead of self-indulgent train wrecks like this woman and her father.

  • Don't care! This like a everyday Maury show

  • Yeah it really is. I cannot figure for the life of me why she would divulge this if it was true. It's so shameful. She seems so flippant about it to me at times. I don't know! Glad I don't have to judge this.

  • Don't care. never will. She needs help either way. An addict is always an addict, recovered or not.

  • ouch dude.

  • I don't think her publicists would say, "Hey Mack, we have this sweet incest and rape angle we want to take for your book. Best seller what what!" Number one, because I don't think anyone says what what anymore, and two because it's not something everything is throwing around all willy nilly. Yes, I still use willy nilly. I believe it happened both with her dad and Skeletor because celebrities are just nuts. Cocaine is a helluva drug. Seacrest out!

  • That was an entertaining read. Thank you. :-)

  • At this point, it doesn't really matter if it's true or not. People have heard about it, and are going to buy the book.

    Just as planned.

  • mackenzie is lying, her brain is fried

  • I've read the book and I choose to believe her. A lot of what she tells in this book isn't very flattering, so I believe that only will of being totally honest has motivated to tell all.

You seem to be quoting revelations from Oprah... have you read the book?

  • your hott

  • lol littel sad that she was raped =/

  • I think she is lying so she can get money. More than likely she is on drugs again, and needs the bread for drugs..

  • Total BS, shes a drug addict shes gonna say anything for mo money so she can buy more drugs

  • OOH your making a blonde joke, very original.

  • OMG...Like this is so serious!! Its just like kinda how can people make fun of it. As If! & blond jokes thats soooooo like racist. Its kinda definetly not my nr. 1 thing at all

  • I dont think she said LIKE in that whole entire statement Zydilak. Good One.

  • But still is was implied by the content...& the hair colour

  • overexxageration...

  • " OMG...Like I Like Belive Its True Cause Saying I Had Sex With My Father For 10 Years Would Not Be Like My Nr. 1 Thing To Sell My New Book". JESUS. So that must mean a heroin addict through 35 years feel the same??..Yeah. Good thing she was never the deciding member on a Jury is all im saying...

  • Comment removed

  • yeah she is lying so she can get some money from the book.

  • they go to a lot of places

  • As usual the brunette is smarter than the blonde...

  • LOL!

  • the mick jagger stuff she has been saying for years, the new stuff is about her dad.

  • I know. Just sounds like a lot of stuff to sell books, since acting is no longer paying the rent.

  • helooo?

  • idk maybe
