I respect what you believe, but heres what I think. Its not wrong to diss a symbol of the people who took our country away from us, who put us through a living hell , and bombed schools killing innocent kids and people. That flag is not the symbol of our country, but the symbol of the people that took our country away from us. But even though they have taken over her, they will never take her away from our <3 and forever will her flag be of yellow and 3 red stripes
I don't understand why they have to have the red flag there?? this is just a party and they still put up that stupid red flag ... lol F**king cong san.
It's not stupid. It's a flag representing Vietnam. Despite the fact that it's a communist flag, it's still a Vietnam flag. So you better shut it up, know-it-all. I don't care if you're Chinese, Japanese, or whatever. It's very wrong to disrespect a nation's symbol.

It's funny. The young Vietnamese people seems to love the communists now!!!....They forgot they ran out of their own country because of the communists
I second thuanqt's thoughts. This song reminds me of my roots and the love of the motherland, however to have it sung with the red flag, which represents a regime of repression and deprivation of human rights, makes it hard to watch. Keep practicing and change the flag, and you may be on your way to something.
I was 10 years old when the war ended. So you could say that I had no political affiliation or biases. I grew up five years under the yellow star and red flag before got out. I was so glad to get out of the regime. Seeing this flag in France doesn't make sense to me, because it represents repression and injustice. I've been back to Vietnam the first time last year. I thought some of the changes are good, yet mostly cosmetic. I still see the regime is cancerous. Just my thoughts!
In 1964, I planned to attend the University of Monterey to study Law.Unfortunately the cold war flared-up between the Soviet-Union, Red China V/S the United States & its allies, Western Europe. This cold-war spread throughout Southeast Asia.Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. After Franch was defeated, South Viet-Nam requested help from the U.S.& West-Europe to stabilize the situation.Apparently, Soviet Union & Red-China wanted to test U.S. warfair capabilitY, so they used Vietnam as their PLATFORM.
(CONTINUATION-Part:2 of 3)I had to discontinue my education to serve U.S. Military.During my tour in Vietnam,I had witnessed the insane brutalitY,injustICE & cruelty of Communism. Soviet & Red-China manipulated North-Vietnam to engage war with the U.S..After Communist succeeded, Red-China attempted to take-over and control Vietnam and lost. Red-China conceeded their defeat, licked their wounds with embarrassment,at this point, Vietnamese peopple reveal their POWER to the WORLD as a proud NATION.
(CONTINUATION Part 3 of 3)Today, as we reminesh the past, Vietnam is a thriving, bursting and producing strong country. Where I live, north of San Jose, California, is a community standing tall which remind me so much of the Old Saigon. incedentally, we call this place, Saigon, U.S.A.! I am so happy for this progress!!!GOD BLESS, VIETNAM FOR EVER!!
Great performance, guys.

I don't understand why there would be a communist Vietnamese flag in the background. While I understand that its now the flag on the current regime in Vietnam, it runs counter to the song's intentions. It's a pretty OK song, that you all screwed up by not getting the message of the piece, and overall bad singing. Bravo.
