the plot is this

you play as the kid and you fight some other guys until you get too the guy (surprise the guy is the kids father) the kid wants to defeat the guy to become the guy himself

that is the main plot of i wanna be the guy

LOL yeah. He was originally modeled on Sean Connery back in the original MSX release of MGII. But they changed it in rereleases.

To beat the part where you run from the flames, run clockwise. If you get behind them, it still shoots the same direction, so you're safe until the next phase.

That's a hard decision. It's either the one with tons of spikes and the slowly moving platforms, or the room with couches and another slowly moving platform after Mother Brain.

No, and I haven't actually done it without dying, I've just done it with zero recorded deaths. That means that I reset the program instead of pressing R every time I die.
