Ouch. I've seen/ heard O'Reilly before and enjoyed him. But this is painful. Everyone has moments in their life when they just act very socially inappropriate. This (whole interview) is O'Reilly's moment.

I think Tim should know by now that he's wearing a microphone when he does these interviews. So, PLEASE do NOT lower your head and exhale sharply, it's even more annoying than his demeanor during the interview.

I just watched the interview section of the video, and I kept thinking - it would have been far better if Tim had let Ray continue onto his 3rd, 4th, 5th (...) ideas in the progressions he was weaving. Most folks won't let stories tellers go beyond the 3rd idea in a series before they interrupt - so I'll give Tim's interview that at least... :(

In deference to Tim O'Reilly, I meant to add above that I think many these are old ideas which Mr. O'Reilly may have extrapolated several steps already. Unfortunately for me, I haven't pushed these ideas very much and was eagerly anticipating the next logic steps by Kurzweil - like for example in the series of ideas at the end of the Q & A, where Kurzweil talked about the 'exponential age' of medical science - absolutely brilliant. Was simply hoping for some space for more of those.

Agreed. Tim O'Reilly presents himself as know-it-all, except the crap he spews out is just that -- SHIT. STFU and let your guest speak, O'Reilly. I REALLY wanted to hear Kurzwiel speak. Too bad, half the time I was listening to your jibber jabber. Sorry, but 90% of your said ideas are wasted breath.
