Spiritual, metal and opera, it's so painful to let it go for some. How amazing this group is. Absolutely w/Tarja her voice fit the strength of the vibes & Marcos. The brilliant Tuomas for creating the sound. Sometimes we allow feelings of who we think we are and what we are, get in the way. This is why Tarja is not w/Nightwish. But the group continues with their beautiful music...perhaps one day, these feelngs can b put aside, and they may again be together. A is doing a good job too. Peace

I agree. Tuomas has a fantastic style of writing. Whereas Tarja is great, but there are many singers that are better.

I like Tarja alot, but honestly, her re-trained voice did not suit the old Nightwish classics any more than Anette's vocals do. She sounds incredibly weak overall during this performance compared to the one from From Wishes to Eternity, where she had her old range. Hopefully, someone will be able to comment on this in a mature way rather than getting upset becuase I didn't praise Tarja enough.

@94mav98 In a mature way, this is by far the best performance i ever heared of this song. And Anette is a very good vocalist, but i feel it does not suit this kind of music (songs like Sleeping Sun). And, i think latest performances of Tarja with Nightwish are far superior to the beginning times when they couldn't rise to the level of the songs as performers. But in this performance they did.

What an amazing live performance. Tarja DELIVERS on the notes, in her passion. She is empowered! The other band members, especially Tuomas, look subdued. I feel sorry for Tuomas. There is much I don't know about Nightwish, but I believe Tuomas was overruled and would have preferred to keep Tarja in the band. Emppu is quite talented. That riff he played at the cut over to the other song reminded me of Yngwie Malmsteen when he still played passionately. Thank you for this wonderful post!

Nobody has the powerful classical voice that Tarja possesses. Now Nightwish is just like all the other bands . Nothing against Annette she is a beautiful fine singer but she isnt the unique voice that Tarja is. When you hear Tarja, you know its her.
