The day the Queen and Prince Philip caught the train to Guildford. First port of call was Guildford Cathedral to attend a Service of Thanksgiving for the 50th Anniversary of its Consecration.
A similar journey was made on the actual Consecration Day 17 May 1961.
In attendance besides the Queen & Prince Philip was the late Princess Margaret & the then Mr Antony Armstrong-Jones.
