  • Absolutely brilliant!! Love it!!!

  • i feel deflated

  • Robert Mitchum was a man's man and a woman's man too. He was better and cooler than James Dean. Mitchum was more realistic and life-like than Dean.

  • Really enjoyed that - Big Robert is an absolute true legend

  • He soooooooooooooo reminds me of Dean! That ws Mr Cool too. Lucille Ball said his voice was so smooth you could cut butter with it!

  • Love this!

  • Robert Mitchum had a lot of appeal.. I like about everything he did.. Too bad he is gone.. they are all gone! :(

  • not a bad ,not bad at all.

  • how could u not like it

  • Super! My dad loved this by Robert Mitchum, cant believe I have found it - thanks for posting.

  • nevertheless he didn't have trained voice I think he was brilliant and will always be! what a charisma!

  • Great actor, but he couldn't sing worth a lick. I have this 45 in my country collection as a novelty.

  • get back on the chain gang you lush!!! awesome!

  • His singing voice was so swoonworthily nasal and untrained.

  • Pure panther! dangerously sexy! how come we don't find men like Mitchum anymore!

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this memory. His chrisma and his story in his song is so beautiful. I just want to run and hug this Man. So elegant and slighly vunerable his rendition. Men so so manly in that time.

  • He sounds like Dave Dudley.

  • so coool!

  • Utterly fascinating! The late great Bob Mitchum wasn't a bad singer at all. Wish he'd done more than just a few a couple of albums! Didn't Dean Martin have a top ten hit with this song? I vaugely recall it from the 60's when I was a kid. In any case, THANKS for posting this intriguing clip! CHEERS! :-)

  • There's no shit from Mitchum thats for sure. The jews hated him for his less than humble retraction about their fairy tales .

  • Ms. Kylie

    Just for you,

    The King of Cool

I take my hat off to Ol Bob

    Stoned but still standing.

  • Someone asked me about Robert Mitchum because I'm a movie buff. I identified him as "You know, the actor that didn't like to work with people of color." Yeah, that's him. Never did care for him as much as, say, Gregory Peck, Burt Lancaster, Clark Gable.

  • @sugarshula64 That is a total untruth and I can prove it.

  • @sugarshula64

That's bullshit. And tbh, someone else has already posted that they can disprove what you write, but you should actually be backing it up with evidence, the onus is on you to prove your garbage, not the other way around.

  • Robert Mitchum...

he must have been the coolest man that ever walked this earth.

  • @dellotti yes he was something special.

  • @dellotti Yep, he and Dean Martin could run a close race!!

  • Love the clip. Do you have the entire Parkinson interview? If so please post it!

  • @babyidontcare23 I wish I had! I only found this clip a couple of years ago on the web and saved it to my computer. When I couldn't find it online again, I decided to post it here. If you find the whole interview, do let me know! ;)

  • @lucyd75 I have the complete interview on a cd I'll look it out and post it.

  • @steve12168 That is great news!!! Please let me know when it's up if you can, I would really LOVE to watch it! :)

  • taped this on the day he appeared on Parkinson......it was fantastic then and still is now !

  • I love him - thanks for this.

  • Thanks for posting this! I've been a fan of his, since I was a kid. I had no idea, he sang. Great stuff!

  • My hero, the true King of Cool

  • A True Legend and a great guy. Many Thanks for Posting.

  • You're very welcome! I couldn't agree more! ;)
