gilmour never released the lyrics for the narrow way, so i'd say it's open to interpretation.
also, the related videos for this are horrible. it really is an unfortunate band name.

yeah u r right actually, but just to clear things out the chorus says rest ur aching/aging eyes be on ur way. Yeah but I think u r right with the interpretation thing
