Or maybe they're all over and i'm just missing out, i don't know. what i do know is i haven't been to any tool concert (if i had the money, i'd have spent it on food), and i don't have any of their cds - most stores where i live don't stock them.

if it hadn't been for the internet, i wouldn't have known about these people at all. and when i think of what i almost missed out on - thank God for the internet!

Also, they don't like distributing music over the interwebs so they make CDs because buying a cd is so much more worth all of the little artistic details that they put into it than buying it off of the internet :)

Justin Chancellor is a fucking BEAST.

In a recent interview, Danny's trusted friend and nebulous HNIC of ToolArmy, Blair, admitted that this song is based on an actual event. Apparently they have a "special" friend who burst into wherever they were one night and told this fantastic story of what happened to him...that sounded utterly ridiculous...but that they couldn't help but be taken in by due to his unwavering, passionate sincerity. Maynard was inspired by it, and wrote these lyrics.

@1986wumpscut The song is not about being abducted. The song is about DMT and when you do it many people experience seeing alien like creatures. Terence Mckenna called them "Machine Elves" The song is about a DMT trip. Its a very wonderful piece of music and one of my favorite Tool tracks :)

Imagine how difficult it is to do this song live. Perfect timing on it at the beginning when Maynard is singing fast is imperative, but they do it almost, if not, flawlessly. Then there are all the instrumental breaks later in the song... Seeing this song performed live is an experience and when a band puts on a song as well as Tool does "Rosetta Stoned", it really shows how fantastic these guys are.
