how long was trailer and how much did case weigh??? How was braking? that would scare me. Dually of course?

@mrblonde108 32ft long gooseneck trailer, backhoe weighed roughly 16,000 lbs, braking/stopping was no problem at all, yes Dodge 3500 dually stick shift. I drove it from the snowbelt in northeastern ohio thru 4" of fresh snow and still snowing in 4wd for quite a while on the highway as we were only going 35 mph due to traffic in that area on I-271

I want a Cummins, is it really that big of a deal if you have a stick or automatic? Everyone acts like its a big deal to have a stick but a lot of people have automatic.

@99dodgeram360 I would rather have stick because a clutch is less expensive to replace, automatic transmissions dont hold up real well if you intend on making more than factory torque/HP you can build an automatic to take the abuse but it will be $5000+ clutches are $300 for stock OEM replacement and $1000-$3000 for flywheel and performance triple disc clutch.........still cheaper than the automatic just my opinion!

@LackoFarms I can drive a stick pretty well, and I'm sure I would get better yet if I had my own. Well how does a stick perform in the snow compared to an auto?

@99dodgeram360 I would say the both perform well, I like the stick shift better I just feel I have more control over the truck in all situations
