@Imhornydadcomeinside My Japanese teacher (I made this project for class), who is Japanese, didn't seem to find anything wrong with my history. You are right that at least one view of history believes your point, but that view didn't pop up in my research 3 years ago when I made this. Maybe my research is just outdated. I dunno. I do know that anime is inspired by Disney animation, though.
@Kendamu of course animation was originally western, the whole japanese system is in itself a western copy, they have a hughe influence from the west, but people deny this because they like japan too much, I hate westerners like that, I like japan too, but at least see the FACTS.
@Imhornydadcomeinside What I mean is that the "big eyes small mouth" expressive style that separates modern American animation from anime was originally inspired specifically by Disney style animation.
Manga was created through western comics during the american occupation of japan.
