Triple Beam Balance... Until today, I did not know what that was. (: Very informative video! (: Thankyou! 2011/2012 PatriotsNation(; Indy, here we come. MHK <3
I watched this in Science Class...Heh. My class laughed at your deep voice (I don't understand why much...Btw you sound like that guy in Everybody Loves Raymond)
I have to teach my 7 th graders how to use the T.B. Balance, i can obviously relax and allow kids to watch you!!!!!!!! (while manipulating balance) Thanks.
This was really helpful. I have a lab practical in the morning but was not quite sure that i could read this thing equipment accurately but thanks to u i know that i can :-)
I am about to make a rubber mold of a sculpture. I found some triple beam ohaus scales. Wich are the "Dail Ogram" series. I have used the ones like yours for years. But now I have this dial o gram set. without any paper work. Do you understand how to use the "Dial Ogram's" I weigh my container as usual right? Then add the weight amount of rubber I use i.e. 400 grams. balancing this out. Then I need to weigh in 20 grams of catylist. When do I use the dial and front tare? Any help would be great!
@McGuireKirk Honestly, I have never used one of those either, but I found the company has a "tutorial" you can find easily by searching. It seems like there might be more features, but the simplest use seems to be just to treat the dial like the front beam on a regular balance, then instead of finding the fancy tare feature, just weigh the cup, then add 400g to the reading and add rubber until that, etc. Not the sophisticated way, but it should work.
Dude, thank you, really. THANK. YOU. I was absent a whole week because I had surgery done and I missed a lot of material. Now I understand a little better :)

By the same token, you could measure the weight of a "sip" of coffee, comparing the weights of your coffee cup before and after drinking.
