yes he did. He famously turned up at the Wish You Were Here recording sessions, at which point they didn't want him back. In fact he was kicked out in the first place anyway, because he wasn't doing anything but spoiling gigs. Although Syd was a very creative songwriter, he went mad and was incapable of doing anything very constructive. Syd is not at this gig because he was, er, dead.

I can't for the life of me understand all the negative comments on here. I think that this is a very inspiring project and it helps to keep the memory of Syd and his wonderful, individual songs alive. Musically it seems that the players have stayed true to the original arrangements and there seems to be more of Barrett's approach here than the Floyd may have brought to the project with their technically perfect but sanitized renditions.

What a happy fun song ! For those acoustically inclined Syd fans- it's a dead easy 3 chord song that's fun to play (G - C7 - D). and you get to slap your guitar like a drum too (boom boom).
