Personally, I don't think Obama likes abortion or thinks it is a good thing. What I do believe is that he knows how horrible it is, but at the same time he knows statistics and he knows that even if abortion were made illegal like it is in some countries, it would only remotely affect the number of abortions that occur. Getting an abortion is no easy ordeal on a young woman(or of any age) and if she can get up the gall to get one legally, abortion being illegal would not change her conviction.

Personally, I don't think Obama likes abortion or thinks it is a good thing. What I do believe is that he knows how horrible it is, but at the same time he knows statistics and he knows that even if abortion were made illegal like it is in some countries, it would only remotely affect the number of abortions that occur. Getting an abortion is no easy ordeal on a young woman(or of any age) and if she can get up the gall to get one legally, abortion being illegal would not change her conviction.

On Jan 22 1973, seven of the nine US SCOTUS justices turned this country's abortion jurisprudence on its head.
In the two court cases decide that day. Roe v Wade & Doe v Bolton, judges overturned the abortion laws of all 50 states and essentiallly legalized the "right " to abortion for any reason throughout pregnancy.
The court held that an unborn child is not a "person" and so was not protected by the 14th Amendment's right to life.

Don't be so ignorant. That BABY could be delivered at the stage shown, and survive! Many babies are born as early as 16 weeks and thrive. Your point is ridiculous (stating it could be termed a grandparent etc., equally as a baby), and has no merit. I don't think abortions should be free. If a person has made the choice to have sex- they do not have the right to eliminate a life!! Rape is a different story... but either way... I'm against abortion.

i object to the term "the baby" as it should be called "the fetus". lets get this strait, a baby is what you call it AFTER it is born in much the same way it is called an adolescent AFTER it has reached the onset of puberty.
it is just as much a baby as it is a grandparent or adult or doctor. it has not achieved the halmarks in life to be called any of these things yet.
