Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Warren Buffet, Donald Trump, Steve Wynn, Jack Welch, Richard Branson, Carlos Slim and Michael Dell , just to name a few, never taught at some university. Why? Because they were actually out there makin' it happen. "How can anyone one pay these (schools) professors for something they've never succeeded in?" If they're so well educated in business, then why aren't they out there amongst the big boys that I just wrote about?!.. Things that make you go, Hmmmm...

@Metalunique The addage of "those that can't do, teach" is not always correct. The ones you mentioned followed their passion and it's the same with a lot of professors. Many professors have been involved in their outside business ventures. That said, I thought this was a pretty dumbed-down presentation, and not something I would expect from the Darden School of Business.

I'm starting college trying to earn a degree in Business Administration on the 28th of this month. I found this to be a good lecture. I'll get a different perspective at my own college to be sure, but I'll keep Professor Hess' years of experience in mind.

It is possible to obtain a grant. Many people don't believe that they qualify. You better start informing yourself hehe. Anyway I wouldn't pay for any kind of information since it's all out there for free.

Wow too long for me I like instant summarised concrete information. Very good book tittle though. I like the fact that he earned the right as he was in business himself and seen people start a business so he s not just talking theory like some teachers.
