I doubt anything will come of this technology. The powder is way too expensive and the process is too slow for it to have any economic benefit. It wont be able to take on the advances in CNC technology
For those of us directly involved in this technology and as practicing metallurgists, the information is tolerable. But seriously guys, I also have a background in the commercial and marcom side of the business. Is this the best dry presentation that you can muster? Look at yourselves! It is supposed to be about YOUR audience and YOUR potential customers! Not how cheap and lazy you can be to sit there and drone on. Exec VP of customer relations? In charge of what? Watching paint dry?
Very poor presentation if done in front of an audience and even worse if used for promotional purposes, let’s hope these guys do not work in the PR department of EOS.
@dddproject I remember laser printers that cost as much as a new car. I remember "car phones", essentially huge mobile phones tethered to your car, which cost an arm and a leg. I remember "minicomputers" bigger than a book-shelf that cost tens of thousands of dollars. Information technology type devices rapidly come down in price; I don't see any reason why DMLS should cost more than a washing machine in 20-30 years.

That's what I wanted to see: 3 idiots talking instead of showing the technology! Morons.

@freddytuber
Information isn't necessarily visual. We can thank these three idiots and hundreds like them for this remarkable technology
