No it's the opposite, small gang stuff missiles are great because it avoids issues with falloff, a ship like the drake has an amazing tank and great range with decent dps. But in big gangs the target can pop before your missiles reach. Gunnery is essential in those big fights.

@Etimos 2d halo explosions take less processing power to animate and as eve is already a high in graphics they dont want to push it over board and full sphere explosions going on constantly would sort of blind you man and lower in fight gameplay quality.

For the release, the capital ships were redesigned and made bigger. Amarr Avatar looks a bit like the old titan, and if you squint real hard the Soltueur looks a bit like an Erebus.

its quite good that they made a titan in a story line this means that big corps dont have go and blow up another persons titan if they want the glory of beating one plus the mission reward has to be over 1B or thats just not worth it
what is the point in not going and blowing people up, its a mainly pvp orientated game, i bet its far more rewarding killing a player controlled titan, just thinking about how much money they spent on it, time to make that money and how pissed off they would be about losing it and you could just laugh and think, what a dick, he didn't even have it fitted properly.
oh and might I add, I agree the frames are only skippy because there are like 100+ ships in the area and HUNDREDS of Torps going off.. torp animation lags me sometimes if I have my premium quality on lol
you guys don't know what low frame rate is, I used to play Team Fortress Classic on my old packard Bell 133 MHZ Pentium, 16MB ram, 1.2gig Hard drive.. that old beast would get low frames, not to mention my 500+ ping back then on my 14.4 Baud modem.. just shut up you stupid new-age punks.. you don't know what lag or low-frames are...
It is quite disorienting, and suprising even with the amount of things on screen, they technically don't utilize a large amount of video memory or gpu chipset use since the games graphical capability is so low the textures are almost non existent. However this could be explained if the user has below average hardware components i.e. Geforce 8800 GT or below.

It is multiplayer! Can't do single player on this game :P
But yeah, that's the "Soltueur" class Titan and part of the Gallente Storyline.
I believe the player-flown Titans were said to be smaller than the NPC Titans built by the empires, though I doubt we'll ever see an NPC Titan again... Aside from the stupid landmark in Luminaire :/

Well, since they can't dock, if someone had the skills and the pilot left the titan for another ship, it could be stolen.

Na, we stay out of nilsec, JUST for that reason. To much politics. I play games to escape the real world, not find another version of it. Actually 2 of our members are ex nilsec JUST for that reason as well. They can't stand the bullshit.

I thought BoB disbanded as of couple months ago. I mean i see some rougue BoB players taht go on suicide missions in high sec, but as far as i know BoB is no longer existent
