hey martin, have you tried arranging the whole song with this kind of style? I think this is a really unique sound, I've been pretty much playing this on my guitar non stop for the last year or so. and also for this kind of playing style, i think it is best to record without any reverb (like it is in this video) so that the audience can really hear how the notes ring into each other naturally. Sometimes people may just think it is a special effect. again, beautiful job!
I like the variation but not as much as the original. Why so? Well in one way it is smoother but what happens is that the flow of the rhythm notes sounds weaker against the melody. In the original the bass is nicely damped and largely played in the same position in the lower frets. It just sounds right for the tune played there and works by providing a slightly more staccato element (like stepping down stairs)against the flow of the melody.
I have listened to this several more times and it is really growing on me now. Funny how that can happen. We get used to tunes played a certain way and a change sounds odd. If had heard this first maybe I would not have liked the other as much! Now I really appreciate the flow of the melody in the Appendix.
Thanks for the input! It´s appreciated - not sure myself which version to use, I´ll probably change it depending on where in the song I´m at, so to speak. The second half of this could be played after the harmonics section I do since I´m then already "up the neck" and this also includes some harmonics...
The final version I guess will be on the upcoming(?) album - been checking out the best deals for cd manufacturing :)
thanks, but due to a momentary lapse on my part I accidently recorded this to an audio track which had a high-pass filter set up... So there´s some bass lacking.
Greetings from the UK. This is a beautiful arrangement. I've been working on your arrangement of this tune for a couple of weeks now and it's starting to sound pretty good although if I could get it half as good as you I'd be happy. You are one of my favourite YT guitarists. Keep up the exellent work.
yeah, gotta sell my soul for it lol... anyway thx for the tab, im stillt trying to learn the original arrangement (as in ur original version). much appreciated. maton rules!!!
Wow! That is smoother. I didn't think it could get any better. You are a fantastic player. Now I get to try it myself. Never be as good as you. Thanks for the tab!
clap,clap..:) it would be nice to hear the whole song played in this version..i'm playing on classic Alhambra but without capo..it's nice but i think it's time to buy one..:) many regards
It would be interesting if someone would play it on a classical guitar (maybe you?). A capo is nice to have at times, I tend to overuse it. It´s a bit easier to play with a capo on so I really don´t want to take it off :)
Hi, I think a lot of people choose the Artist rather than the TE model because of the CGP (Certified Guitar Player) inlay on the fretboard, it may be silly but it could feel like you have a lot to prove, to others and yourself :)
Very nice tone! I had the privelege of playing Tommy's latest 808 a few years ago at a workshop (before he beat it up too much). I didn't want to hand it back to him :).
Regardless of model I think electronic setup (and talent)is key.
Ciao! Grazie - if I understand the Italian words correctly, check out the whole song at the link below the video. This is a response I made to my own song, I have made a change that could be interesting for those trying to learn it.

ah so you play this just as intro and the rest as before
yipmicha 3 years ago
I´m not sure yet, I might play the 2nd half of this only after the harmonics theme...
I´m planning to do a cd, and the final version isn´t recorded yet, so it´s still an open case :)

Great news...can't wait for the CD! By the way, your section with all the harmonics is beyond beautiful. Incredibly fluid, almost like a harp.
