@spenceriguess it is because the build Bonus will increase your wepon Damage more than just something like lightning, fire ect.. but you can go on something like lightnig on a lower lvl, and if you have enough Str/Dex or what ever.. you can change the stats of your wepon (sorry if my swissenglish sucks ^^ )

@spenceriguess He goes to + 15 because elemental weapons like lighting, fire, chaos dont scale with your stats.. So if yo have 40 dex and youre using a lighting uchi it was a water of points... the higher the wepone level is like 15 the more damage it will do if your stats are high! Good luck on pvp!!

the speed at which you cast spells increases up to 45 dex, so there is a reason to go past 40 if you've got spare points lying around.

I have a similar build. With 40 dex, 50 faith, 40 vit and 30 end. With ROFAP and Dark Wood, you can have high poise. I did only 3 att slots though. I think The Lightning spear is inviting a back stab and rarely hits. WOTG, DMB and Gravelord Great Sword Dance are what I equip. Why Gravelord Great Sword Dance? If you land a back stab, immediately do Gravelord and it will surely hit for more damage. Two handed winged spear totally rocks. esp with dmb.

Dexterity is obviously needed to be able to use certain weapons. If a weapon has Dex scaling then you'll do more damage with it if you have higher Dexterity. It also increases how fast you cast miracles/sorceries/pyromancies

Nah, Dex affects the dex weapons like str does fore str weapons......it's all about what weapons you wanna use really.

The estoc does more damage than ricard's rapier, and it has the same running attack. Its wide-swing is more useful than the double slash.

@Erghest Estoc is a little stronger but the damage difference is not noticeable, so use whichever you like the most

@Caroso964 it was quite noticeable with my character, although both were at +10 rather than +15. the double slash R2 attack also did less total damage than the single wide swing from the estoc. I suppose maybe the rapier can be useful is used properly, but I didn't see it having any opportunity to overcome the estoc.

@Erghest Maybe, I haven't compared the weapons on a enemy. Looking at the numbers, the difference isn't very big. My favorite is Velka's Rapier R2, but it can not be used with a faith build.

@Erghest The difference is, when having some poise, you can punish 'em with the Ricard's R2 while they hit you. I know it's risky, but I have won many matches with it. (After the double thrust, press R2 again to get 4 more hits. It's crazy!)

@MOIRAUK Yes you can do the bb glitch multiple times to get more slabs.

DMB is stronger than CMW if you have 40+ faith, talisman weights less, looks better, but you need to be in the covenant. CMW can be used more than once i a fight if you buy the spell again in ng+ and duration be extended with lingering dragon crest ring. It also depends on what spells and weapons you want to use.

dude got a quick question.. aint it hard to find pvp at 120 level while invading ?considering that you can only invade someone higher than you. and nobody goes over 120.. i got all my chars around 110-115 and id like to know if its better geting them to 120

a variation of this build is Vit 40 Att 12 End 40 Str 16 Dex 40 Res - Int - Fth 40 or 50 Fth and 30 End This would make the character level 125

I think higher dex is more important, DMB only lasts 60 seconds.

If you have less than 40 Faith, you will have to use Canvas Talisman for max damage.

@Caroso964 oh thank you too. And a little tip, I think u should replace Great Lighting Spear with Force. Force is more useful than Lightning Spear. In PvP there's a lot of players who try backstabbing you, use Force to cancel them off. Trust me, it's very useful cuz I have a same build just like this ;)

Nice build. I'd recommend getting to 40 endurance for the stamina, though, which would give you more opportunity to attack and dodge and stuff. Also you could then equip lighter armor and go with the <25% roll, granting you another ring slot (although I can totally understand that you might rather have more poise). The necessary 10 points could be taken from faith, 30 faith are still enough to use DMB.

Also, please don't do that combust spam, it's bad style. :)

I take all my builds to 125. IMO these builds really need those extra 5 points. I also don't like the 16 att. IMO it's over kill. You really gonna use that many slots? other then this nice build. Excellent video.

@fbodieslive You never need 4 slots in one fight but I like to have the ability to use both miracles and pyromancies at the same time.

I just think its boring to make a character that only can use a few weapons with DMB. Thats why I put 16 points in str and att instead of 50 faith. Level 130 would be the perfect level for this build.

i totally agree here for the level, and for spellwords best attun is 14 e spell, 2 spell buff one ignite or rage of god, or one of each , you dont need a 4rth spell, and the forth spell y will get probably will suck like firestrom or fireball or hsa

Great build and gameplay there. I tried making a Dex build myself but found it real hard work. Might give it another go based on this one though, I like the variation and the possibility to change things up in fighting style.
