  • This is a great exercise for the obliques. A light weight is all that is required. In this case, it is not the actual weight but a combination of weight and leverage that works so well. It looks easy but is not. Nice video! There aren't too many people doing this on Youtube.

  • @jtstevenson81 You can not side bend more weight than you can hold above your head, it looks retarded and gives shitty results. You're better off doing barbell twists

    Forget that other idiot. They hurt like shit and are very hard. There is no better side flexion exercise I can think of. The fact that he tells you to do barbell twists, another awesome exercise to be sure, in place of shows he knows nothing about what he is saying. Twists and Saxon side bends work the same muscles but in different ways. Do them both! Good luck.
