The song is beautiful and the video is genius but from what I gether one contradicts the other. In the video the blue thingy is calling desperatly for attention and gets it when the musician runs to save it and they get...well, affectionate. While the song is trying to tell us that attention doesn't get you affection. I'm confused.

@verymuchindeed I don't wanna speak for Ed, but I think it's more that he's seeking the attention of the grey square people, who just watch. The affection comes from the musician who would have tried to save him whatever the situation. The subsequent destruction is Blue Guy understanding the distinction between the two.

this is a cute video for a very fun song. I love how you make the sound upbeat and gentle even though the subject would be kind of offensive to actually talk about. :/ one thing I always liked about your videos is that they always featured you playing the music. I'm not quite sure I enjoy this as a music video. but the animation is cute. and the song is very good. I think music and animation should remain separate in most cases.

Reminds me somewhat of Paul Baribeau, which isn't bad at all. I must say I like your acoustic stuff more than the rockier ones. It would be nice to produce something like this but with a bit more elaborate arrangements, keeping the acoustic feel. Keep it up might, and you might go far.
