  • Is it a replica or one of the originals????

  • @RodrigoMJ32 I'm flattered that you ask that question.....but no, she's a replica. The movie Jeep was a 1992 Jeep Sahara. The one in this video is a 1994 Wrangler. Thank you though. :-)

  • how does this only have 350 views?!

  • @pillmeup I kinda wondered that myself. Perhaps it's cause the way it's tagged. Not sure. But then again, it's only been online for roughly a month or so. :-)

  • @KN1IGHT

    :)

  • ok how many cars or trucks u got or had from shows and movies and which one s lol

  • @richarded22 LoL. Not that many actually. My primary vehicle that was really the only one I ever set out to build, was my KITT car. My Jeep I did as a plesent accident. Meaning, it was purchased as a stock Jeep Wrangler to replace KITT as my everyday driver. Then I converted to what you see in the vid here. I've built an Ecto 1 from Ghostbusers...and am in the process of building another one. :-) Started a Herbie, but that project got put on hold.

    Peace man. :-)

  • wow it loox really authentic. How long did the build take?

  • @Yanni21 Thank you. The Jeep was not a long project. She started out being all red, then I had her masked off, the beige color added, and had a Vehicle Vinyl specialist make the logos for me. The rims are just stock Wrangler rims, but painted. I'm constantly adding to her....but to answer you question, she was about a 2 month project. :-)

    Peace man.

  • @mytube01707 Thanks. :-) It has a nice beat, plus the youtube copy right filter doesn't recognize it as the JP Theme music. LoL

    Peace man.

  • The amber foglamps:

  • @Sismiques Perhaps, but those vehicles in the movie were not intended for everyday highway use. Mine is. I need to be careful about changing the lights around so I can keep the vehicle street legal. Plus, the Jeep in the movie was a 1992 Sahara. Mine is a 1994 Wrangler. But in the end.....I still have many add ons to do to her. Including the power winch, the whip antenna, plus several more lights. :-)

  • @KN1IGHT

It is probably street legal, besides, don't you put blue lights on your Ghostbusters car, and have a flashing red scanner on the Knight Rider car?

    :)

I know amber foglmps are more common in Europe, like the Soviet UAZ 469s often have them, as do many Volkswagens, etc., but I am pretty sure there are provisions for it in certain state laws in the US.

  • @Sismiques There might be a chance I can get away with it, but you need to understand the legalities of these lights for use on an "everyday" driver. The Ghostbuster's car has blues yes, but I don't/can't use them on the open highway. Only shows, events, parades, etc. Same is true with my Knight Rider scanner. Both are considered moving violations if I use them freely like the Jeep's tail lights would be used. I've got plenty of cop friends that can tell me though. :-)

  • @KN1IGHT

i've seen tractor trailers with steady amber to the rear, then a dump truck, motorcycle, and I think even a Land Roaver in PA with them, so the cops there don't seem to care.

  • @Sismiques Sweet. Maybe the ones out here won't care either. :-)

  • @KN1IGHT

    Of not, use red.

  • You should get the rear amber foglamps for that.

  • @Sismiques Still have many add ons to put on her. :-) May add those in due time.

    Peace man.
