  • OMG my mom and I were just laughing at our memories of this cartoon XD

    classic stuff <3

    Thanks for posting

  • i think this was my favorite cartoon when i was little!

  • A staple of my childhood!

  • I see so many people reacting to this cartoon with woman-hating. Why don't people think rationally about this situation if they are going to take a cartoon so seriously when making a judgment about women? The obvious problem is that conservative society forces people to get married and pretend not to be interested in promiscuity or polyandrous relations... yet as people tire of their "life partner" the partner will naturally get more bitter and seem like a jerk. Maybe marriage is a bad idea?

  • Wups, I meant "Polyamorous Relations".

  • oh please cant they just rape the shit out of the big chicken Hag! she's an annoying piece of KFC!

  • Are there any uncut ones out there,it would be nice to see all the good stuff thats missing,or is it gone forever?

  • I used to love this cartoon!! Thanks DrTravisto ;)

  • the lesson? don't get married lol

  • its funny how they put all that(smoking, drinking, and woemen) in a kids cartoon.

  • Paramount cartoons had one consistent thing I remember about them which was their insatiable lust for violence, abject cruelty and displays of incredible physical abuse.. :)

  • It was at the time this cartoon was released that Paramount/Famous cartoons started getting their reputation for heavy violence. Just compare this Henry and Herman cartoon to older cartoons in this series.

  • where cani find these cartoons at? i used to hav em as a kid but lost em.

  • I got this on some dvd at a dollar store, these compilations are everywhere.

  • I found a Herman video tape in a bin of generic cartoon at a value city in Denver, I looked at it and was like, "This isn't a generic cartoon, classic gem!" I bought four Herman cartoons for 2 dollars.

  • Herman and Mighty Mouse have always been my favorite rodents. The sad thing about this cartoon is that there are so many mother hen type spouses that abuse there husbands. Please support your local "Husband Spousal Abuse Center".

  • Poor Herman and Henry.

  • This was one of several attempts to create a "Famous" star out of Herman by Paramount in the mid-'40s. By 1950, they decided to pair him with "Katnip" in their own series, which lasted until 1959, when Harvey Publications bought the rights to them and the other "Noveltoon" characters, as well as Paramount's post-1950 cartoon library.

  • Seems Like A Lotta Plot Skips In This

  • I noticed that myself, but thats what you get for buying old cartoons at the dollar store.

  • I believe the 'wife' chicken is voiced by Verna Felton (Mother-in-law Flintstone).

  • Now do a Million Times!

  • Good stuff.
