  • The points he is raising are the same as muslims have been raising all through the history, but no one really listened to them, but "because", its a professor, white, non-muslim, and english-speaking person...it is making ways into intellect. Racism has its own merits in the minds of masses, just that they tend to not say that.

  • Good points.

    Btw, he is not Muslim.

  • wats his point, really? he wasnt clear , he was vague

  • "The rule of law." "Sharia is afterall a system of law." Hmmm. Question. Does any system of law applied equal the rule of law? The testimony of women in court under Sharia is 1/2 that of men, for example, just one. In other words, is applying, for example, such unequal treatment equivalent to the rule of law? I do not believe it is, essentially. It is the rule of something else, essentially, even though it may be called law. Sorry all who believe otherwise.

  • @12ut5

Under the rule of law, it is true that every individual is equal in the eyes of the law. It is a good question indeed, why not email Noal Feldman and see where it takes you

  • Your Saudi oil dollars at work...

  • When the speaker in this video talks about secularism. What he means is, education, scientific progress, freedom of thought, free expression of ideas, debate and public participation in the process of governance. If indeed Islam is opposed to those things, it is actually anti civilisation. As a social ideology, it is therefore not fit for purpose, in the global technological arena. Some sort of reform within Islam is desperately needed for it's survival. Opposing secularism is not an option.

  • This guy speaks honestly

  • noah feldman is brilliant, i'm a big fan of his.

  • and so is Hamza Yusuf

  • He is a professor in Sharia law at Harvard. Point is, he's not muslim

  • Brother Noah Feldman is genius. Undoubtedly one of the most influential Muslim thinkers alive today. Expert in Sharia and Western thought and civilization. One of the mystifying capabilities of the human brain is embodied in the genius. He is genius and is an individual with astounding creative talents and distinguished mental abilities.

    GREAT JOB

  • He's Jewish
