Great video - I have watched this many times.

Being a beginner, I believe this is for experienced kiters.

It looks like somewhat of a hot launch.

Will probably view it a lot when I gain more experience.

bring the kite in low, pull one of the front lines to flag out the kite on the water, ie leading edge down into the wind. put bar on your board to help manage lines, hold the front line the entire time. swim in. drop bar near shore, walk line to kite.

Thanks! So how do you self land at the same spot? Drop the kite in the water directly downwind when near shore, and then walk to a tree and attach the kite somehow? Then wade to the kite and carry it to shore? Just a guess.

The issue I have doing launches like this is the lines getting caught on small rocks and sticks etc. Keep a good eye on the lines! Every now n again you run into problems but drift launches are the best for solo kiters. very good vid!
