Ok, gents, opening sequence is from XBox I believe, and it is there for comparison. Author clearly states it, please bother to watch before you post.

As for the game, I agree with all points. The WII Sports baseball has more reallistic batting experience than this. Ball reflects properly and even though you can "fake" it by just shaking the handle, proper swing will get the job done. Foul balls counted as HRs, HRs called ground-rule doubles, infielders missing routine groundballs. DO NOT BUY!!!

I knew that wii sucked, but come on! I think that the best way to avoid this is to get an xbox or ps3. I have 2k11 for the xbox and i have yet to figure out something wrong with it. I cant stand anything about wii.

It appears that 2K11 for the Wii looks identical to 2K10 (I have that by the way both for the Wii and PS3 and the PS3 version of 2K10 is way better in terms of graphics *and* game modes, the Wii version doesn't have a My Player Mode which makes that game on PS3 all the more fun to play). Mario Brothers Sluggers is 100% better for a baseball game for wii. stick to the cartoons games! at least NFL2K11 went cartoonish for wii because they new they could not make graphics life like. FYI I threw my wii in my 4 year olds room and my son said no thank you dad i want a ps3 like my cousin! wii sucks!!

you know what they should have done... they should have made a custom bat that fits both the nunchuck and the wiimote so you could swing better. OR they COULD have just given the gamer the ability to swing with out the nunchuck being connected. Oh and really upgrade the graphics

@3678robert yeah, I have 2k9 and if the gameplay is as bad as that, then the gameplay sucks too. but see, i don't mind bad graphics, but this is out of line in this game. It's litterally the worst graphics I've seen by a non portable console. My psp gaames have better graphics!! it is an embarassment to video games, it hurts my eyes when i look at this game... and i don't like it

Thank you for the review. If the batting requires me to use both hands and guess exactly where the pitcher throws the ball like in wii MLK09 then I won't waste me time with this game. MLB 2k8 is a easy game to swing the bat and hit the baseball and the baserunning on MLB2k8 is easy.

I got my wii 3 years ago and regret it greatly. Not that I hate the wii but I like sports games. And all the sports games especially baseball are way better on the xbox 360 and ps3. The graphics are not nearly as good either. The only people the wii is better for are kids as in like 10 and under kids and old people

Fuck 2kSports, this game makes me even more ashamed to own a Wii. I played through an entire 162 game season + playoffs on 2k9 for the Wii, and to see that 2k11 has the same fucking opening for a game and the same graphics and commentators that I had to sit through 162+ times, it's bullshit. They obviously didn't care to think people might be sick of seeing the same shit every game.

Thanks for doing this review I have been looking for a review and footage of mlb 2k11 for the wii. I figure it would still be a gimped version with crappy graphics but your video confirms this. I just bought mvp baseball 2005 for the gamecube at gamestop for $3 I will play that on my wii instead of this.

@JeReL19 Yeah I was hoping 2k would make the wii version the same minus the graphics like they do with the nba 2k series but they just don't care anymore. They even admit they are just riding out the mlb contract for the most part and regret paying for it so this game really shouldn't be a surprise for me. Just sad the two best baseball games I have for wii are outdated mlb power pros 2007 and mvp baseball 2005. I did enjoy mlb 2k8 for the wii but they just gave up after that.
