During the 1960's we enjoyed watching the Don Messer show one night and listened to the Beatles and Elvis the next night. Most Canadians who grew up at that time can say the same thing. The show was as popular as Ed Sullivan.

@RPCchannel You are absolutely right. I grew up on the Prairies, but every (what night was it on?), we all had to sit in front of the old black and white and watch this show!! As Canadian as Hockey Night in Canada (with Murray Westgate!) and Juliette!

tell me about it , i'm from the maritimes football in the summer , hockey in the winter saturday at 5:00 pm the bugs bunny

roadrunner hour with a big plate of hamburgers, then go out and play some more come back in for hockey night in canada with danny gallivan , don messer. sunday play all day 6:00 pm untamed kingdom have to get a bath sit there for over 1/2 hour then yell out "dooo i haave to waaaash my haaair " -mom YES you do ! . ahhhhh growing up in canada .
