No, the cage is not "awesome". It is the complete opposite. Burmese Pythons need floor space, not height and a hardware mesh door is the worst possible thing. Not only will this "enclosure" not be able to maintain humidity, that mesh will be like a cheese grater on a snake's face. And as that snake grows, it will push on that screen.

I don't think you would want to live in a cage that size when your 160lbs plus and 14' to 18' long. A sheet of plywood 8x4 is a good floor space; as long as you take her out side (per. back yard)alot to get her exercise.
Pretty using a hall way closet space for a converted reptile cage. HOWEVER 2 things are wrong for your burmese cage; 1st. using that 3/8 sq. screen is BAD!!! it alows to much heat loss, and more important burms rub their noses on everything he will rub his nose raw. I've seen it too often, anyone who knows burms knows this to be true (change it to glass, or "thick pexi-glass").2nd. This burm will out grow this space you've made in months, they don't climb when they get BIG need more floor space

Nice cage. I build my own, too. I use MDF board, primered and top coated with Behr exterior gloss paint. If you've seen my videos, you see they're painted inside and out. This helps keeps them clean and reduces smells from bacteria. You did a good job on your reptariums!

That's a big Python! I think my bro had a ball python when I was little but I never paid close attention to it. I like the cage you built for it seems cozy, are you going to put in any decorations to make it seem more natural? Make a vid if you do so you can show your set up for the Burmese... Thats an awsome setup!! I was like WTF at first! great cage!! Nope your burm will no longer be falling! You tripped me out when i saw the Burm fall like that! But above all nice setup Sweeet! A+
