My memory of dragonflies is that soon after I lost my son during pregnancy I saw this shadow of a dragonfly on the sidewalk ahead of me -- but when I looked up to see the creature I could not find him. It lead me write a poem about the loss of my son. I now have a tattoo of dragonfly and to me the represent free spirits and the beauty the was my son's life.

It looks so easy but it is pretty evident that this 'ease' is the result of both talent and countless hours of practice. A joy to watch such skill and the result it produces.

In my country (Argentina) it is said they announce rain. And it often happens they appear on a very hot day and the next day, Voila! it rains. I love them!

My grandfather used to say dragonflies would carry the souls of the dead on to heaven. After he died, the driveway was filled with thousands of dragonflies....My dad says it was so very eerie.

wow that sounds very interesting. I only remember a dream i had about dragonflies... unfortunately it was a nightmare. but the dragonflies were on my side so i think of them fondly.

When I was a child and after it rained a lot, they were puddles in our garden and in the ditches. My siblings and I would go out and look for the dragonflies near the water and watch them ... and sometimes while they clung to the leaves or stalks we'd catch them by pinching their wings and then let them fly away.

Very beautiful work. My memory of dragonflies is one day when the weather north of us changed suddenly and became cold.  A swarm of hundreds of thousands of dragonflies came to us all at once.
