  • @MsNinetieskid It's what we know in North America as parmesan, yes. But what we call parmesan is different than authentic parmigiano reggiano. Parmigiano reggiano is a designated term for the cheese specifically coming out of certain geographical regions of Italy. What we use here in North America isn't true parmigiano reggiano, but it's close enough. You can, however, purchase real parmigiano reggiano at your specialty cheese store and sometimes your grocer will have it, too.

  • It looks amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only thing that bothers me is when you scrape metal against metal (metal tongs against metal pan.) Sorry for being petty, but I just prefer rubber tongs. Otherwise, your recipes and guidance are untouchable. Keep up the great work! Thanks.

  • I made this but I used chicken thighs instead. I prefer dark meat over white meat. Just my preference. It was still super good!

  • @LauraVitalesKitchen Is it really worth making your own alfredo sauce? I know there are many store made ones that you just have to heat up, so is there a real flavor difference between the store bought alfredo sauce and the homemade one you are making?

  • @makeupcraze21 I followed the exact recipe as you would do with the chicken. I bought my shrimp and made sure they were completely dry, sauteed them just until cooked in medium to high heat (depend on stove) with the same amount of butter. Once they were just about cooked through (remember you don't want to over cook shrimp), I removed them and did my Alfredo sauce in the same pan for added flavor. Once my sauce of thick enough, I added the shrimp and it was DELICIOUS!!

  • Maybe, if you make a rue with the flour and yhe droppings and add milk....instead of the cream, it might taste better. BUT, i havent tried your version yet so i dont know which tastes better

  • @rockstarqueen2380 Laura does say that she does not eat this every day (3:05 - 3:35). That probably answers your question of how she can stay in such great shape. You can eat rich food once in a while, and stay in great shape. I lost a lot of weight (60 lbs) and I have maintained it, not by depriving myself of rich food ALL THE TIME, but just making sure 6 days out of the week I eat well, and then I have ONE cheat meal, like fettuccine alfredo. You have got to live a little.

  • Giada..........take some advice here, the LESS ingredients the BETTER it tastes, some of Giada's recipes can have 20 to 30 ingredients! This woman knows the simplicity of italian cooking and how good it tastes, she is my new favorite cook, its more ethnic italian than american italian which is how I cook!

  • @kiraaleximusic Pasta is the generic word referred to all kind of shapes that pasta can be! Linguine is one kind of pasta! Just like spaghetti or pennette or rigatoni or maccheroni! they're all Pasta!

  • I tried this and it was just ok for me, the butter separated from the cream and it wasn't creamy. I followed recipe exactly but it was just ok for me, not as good as your Voka Pasta which is excellent!
