I listened to his initial audition and I like him as a musician, he is extremely talented, but he cannot be mentioned on the same breath as people like Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel etc, he is not there yet nor will he ever be, he could make a living in music but dont fool yourself, he is no where near Elton

its not an opinion blend, it is very factual, alot of people can play the piano and sing, but can they have a career that spans 30 plus years and write songs everyone knows? I like Eli, but there are alot of Eli's around, I know a few personally but none of them can do what Elton or Stevie can do over 30 years, I understand your a fan but you have to understand they are not compatible, it does not matter, he can have a good career but wont be written in the history books like Elton
