It's the same thing the Koreans did in the LA riots, they defended what was theirs (what they had worked for). Unfortunately, blacks love to use situations like this to loot. This was the city and state governments failure, but Bush gets blamed for it constantly for some reason.

On a good day I dont go into neighborhoods where I know I dont belong. Before Katrina hit, people were told to leave. Then after a major breakdown of law enforcement and disaster assistance, people started breaking into other peoples homes. It was the wild west for a while and looting will get you killed. These people are just playing the "poor victim" for the camera. Yep, they got shoot because they made a bad decisions. Is it really that surprising?
