my ps2 is slim schp-77004, i think my fan has 2 speeds and when the console temperature increses the fan spins faster and make a bit more noise...

my old 39001 ps2 it was so noisy i miss it :( blue discs would make it sing real loud mdk armegeddon was the worst my new 500001 ps2 doesnt make a sound

run a 5 volt regulater from the psu to the fan or if you want it to be adjustible get a lm317 and a pot that should take care of that problem unless theirs not enough room in it

i find my fat ps2 scph 50001/n very quiet, sometimes my neighbors slim ps2 make more noise than my fat one.

Are you not dramatically reducing the life of the fan by feeding it more voltage than it is designed to cope with?

my PS2 fan makes a really *really* irritating "drone" noise on default settings, like "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz".

I would take it apart and detail it, in other words dust the damn thing. Like the fats! My old fat still works, because I maintained it properly. Nothing lasts forever, espeically fans for computers. Peace.

Do you get it that it stopped getting power from the mobo and I had to power it from a diff power source?? Well that's why it makes noise cause it gets more power!Read before posting "bullshit"
