Nice tutorial and type of signature :D I am a semi-pro on signatures but I never thought of making a 3D type signature. Also where did you get those brushes or what is the name of them? Again, nice video :)
@SaMultiplayerCritix Just google for 'free photshop brushes', or something like 'photoshop splatter brushes'. I have so many brush sets I honestly have no idea which set this was.
@Shirsaha Try holding down (with mouse pressed) on the line tool (on the tool bar). See what other options there are; it may have switched to another one automatically.
OR
Select the line tool, then on the top bar make sure the box next to the puddle shape is not selected (that draws an arrow shape rather than a line).
HI i just have a quick question can you please tell me what you have your video card settings you have? on all of them, im a complete noob with video card settings i need to know all of them from top to bottom please....thanks...
@Hoser1358 I was trying to make a point that without an example you appear top be more of a troll than someone providing advice, but if you can't post links I understand that. Thanks for the description of the feathery one though.
@modding4funX Ah I see, I think I know how to fix this. Try opening the image in MS Paint. Then save it as a .png (portable network graphic) image. Try to reopen it in Photoshop. If it doesn't work just say and I'll get you to try something else.
@Skipper242424 right dude that worked thanks but thing is the back ground for the picture is black so what should i do, not like yours when you open yours it has the character alone with a transparant back ground on mine its got a character with a pure black back ground
@modding4funX You mean the background against the character or the canvas you made? If the canvas when you're making it make sure to select transparent on the popup box where you can change the resolution etc. If it's the image with your character on use the magic wand tool to erase it.
@popomartin2 I know it can be hard sometimes "/. Remember though the background image hasn't got to have anything to do with the subject of the sig, just fit within the style. You could try finding an image then applying some effects using brushes and lighting to fit within your design.
@Skipper242424 Im not trying to be a douche bag or to seem like one, but I like to post my GFX on multiple forum sites. I used to use big canvas dimensions and they all tell me that its too big, or too wide. Now I use about 350x120 -500x150
@xXMetalxFreakXx Oh no problem, but you can just modify the canvas when starting out to your liking. I think most people can figure that out. The tut was mainly showing the style rather than an exact guide on how to create a forum sig.
I have to be honest with you, these are the greatest signatures I have ever seen. for the border can u not just put a stroke on that layer? that is what i did it seem to work fine.
rumblyblu 1 year ago
@rumblyblu Yep, if it works and that's you preferred method. There are many ways to achieve the border.
Skipper242424 1 year ago
Easier way to do this is just use the Marquee tool and select around the box, then fill. MAKE A NEW LAYER!

@RubiksCubeMaster123 Good shout
Skipper242424 1 year ago
Just thought I'd quickly put this in here.
Most forums allow more like 500x100 or 800x200.
taking an image for a background makes no originality.
it seems as if all you did was get a set of brushes and put them over a background, add a render for a foreground.
The really good ones look much better than these (no offence) they utilize lighting and contrast.
Hoser1358 1 year ago
@Hoser1358 Thanks for the feedback, I may do a video on making fractals and the like for use if you want a 100% 'own' backing.
Skipper242424 1 year ago
@Skipper242424 heh?
fractals take no skill to use though. you can literally place them almost anywhere and end up with a good look.
Hoser1358 1 year ago
@Hoser1358 any suggestions what would take skill if anything? Your own HDR image perhaps?
Skipper242424 1 year ago
@Skipper242424 ...
Sir, have you even been on a big forum before,
or go look at some wallpaper websites (well then again if you focus on games you'll likely only get simple stuff like this
Hoser1358 1 year ago
@Hoser1358 Yep been on big forums, well what I consider big.
And yes I focus on games so I will have this 'simple stuff'. Could you provide and example of what you find not to be so 'simple'
Skipper242424 1 year ago
@Skipper242424
the 's around simple make it seem as if your saying your arent simple
comments dont let me post links and id rather not take the time to message.
a really nice look is where there is a background with messy edges that are feathered creating a nice look over black

Your canvas size is unprofessional. You would want one that is about 350x150 - 500x150
xXMetalxFreakXx 1 year ago
@xXMetalxFreakXx Well different forums have different sizes, forums I use/have used use about 420x300.
Besides I'm sure people (such as yourself ;)) can work out how to modify this tutorial to their liking.
