Okay everybody, for the last time, this is NOT a disney show. It was made by the WB. When it was cancelled, Disney just aired the reruns. I love smart guy as much as the next guy but all you 90s dick riders, calm the FUCK down and stop blaming disney for the cancellation of smart guy. They just aired the reruns. If you want someone to blame, blame the WB or get the fuck over it.
U all are stupid if u think it just means doing the right thing is better than doing the wrong thing for when u feel like ur doing the right thing by doing the wrong thing so yeah what's more important being stupid by doing the right thing or being smart if u feel like ur doing the right thing huh?
they need more shows with messages like this, something serious but told in a mild way, enough to get the kids attention so they can talk to their parents about it, but not so explicit that it scars them for life, this show portrays that perfectly
Disney needs to go back to these kind of shows, instead of shows like Sonny with A Chance or Shake it up (whatever you call it) which teaches kids no important life lessons!
@DeeCheetahGyal yes i'm jamaican, and plz tell me u dont hate us, bcuz i think this trini vs j'can thing is stupid, the carribbean is way too small to be fighting each other
@monpheonix Lol, nah its all good. I've never heard of anything like that. I think that all of the Carribbean is beautiful. And i dont single ppl out bcos of where their from lol, its their character that matters to me :). Plus, i have waaay too many jamaican friends to be ignorant like that ;P
@monpheonix wow, first time I heard of this. Actually.. I've ppl talk but it was just stupid. But other then that not really. and thats really stupid that ppl are wasting their time.
This episode made me cry. It's amazing that disney was brave enough to address this issue on a kids show. Especially since kids NEED to know about the dangers of trusting strangers like that.
I liked to talk with other people on the internet before. They seemed to be nice, but they turned out to be gross people.. When strangers talk to me now, I'm very cold.
I really likes shows that have morals, even though I know how to solve them. It's kind of heartwarming feeling that you still can learn. Unlike nowdays with no morals and dead brained actressses..
i really miss shows like these , shows that tell the truth about the real world and real world situations like being careful who u meet online
disney today is just mindless cartoons that are pointless and don't tell kids what the real world is like instead they " sugercote" the shows to not scare the kids but kids now adays should know about real world situations
I miss all this show and all the shows that were on back then. Now kids grow up with stupid shows like Jonas and shake it up. Definitely happy I got to grow up with shows this (sister sister, boy meets world, Lizzie McGuire!). Those were the best shows ever!!
Compliments to the show for showing both sides of the internet debate, yes, it's potentially dangerous, but yes, there are a lot of good things as well, it requires judgement, which is where the parents need to get involved.
thats what smart guy does, it teaches you to do the right thing in any situation. why the stupid ass Disney channel broadcasters stop playing it and started playing dumb shit like Jonas or fucking fish hooks.......racist bastards if nobody notice all the black shows are gone raven, sister sister all the good shit
This is the stuff they should show on TV. Not the 'Shake it up' or 'suite life' crap. The people who write that should take a look at this and think about the important messages they can send to young children out there.
Man how come they don't play real shit like this on Disney anymore? Instead of teaching kids how to protect themselves on the Internet, they have dumbass shows like Hannah Montana running. Thank God I was a kid in those good ole Disney days.
Rumor has it, Chris Hansen--then, just a lowly janitor at a middle school--was inspired and motivated to make a difference with his life after viewing this Smart Guy episode. He was also Mo's #1 fan.
its funny how people say "if this happened to my kid, i'd kill the sob, who did it" but most of that isnt true. it leads a bad example for your kid. my parents always said that, but when it came down to it, they took me to the hospital and called the police. the bastard only got 5 months in prison, and did worse to one of my friends, but what i learned, is that all-in-all, everyone lies and it becomes a turn the other cheek matter, not just with family, but with the judicial system too.
Only difference between me and Floyd is that if that was my son I would find that Cho mo's house ring the doorbell and have my baseball bat and brass knuckles in hand and beat him so bad over and over again Crack Crack Crack! Until that fucker was street Pizza!
@DevilTriggerSix08 That's because Disney got some new girl running it now, and she's only interested in making money, and what sells which is a bunch of lame teeny bopper girls who talk about their high school crush all the time and the school dance, and begging daddy to buy them things, stuff that's so cliche it's hard to keep from throwing up. What about stuff that matters for life?
this is the ONLY episode of this i never laughed at.... infact looking back on it it kinda brings a tear to ur eye..... anyone ever did that to my kid a prison cell wouldnt hold me from destroying them!
@liamevans1987 And every show doesn't just have to be about comedy all the time, but also tell a story at the same time. That's what makes this great. It puts something on your brain. I want my old 90s shows back NOW!
true u don't see shows like this anymore. need to educate the young kids these days. I be seeing way too much disturbing news about kidnaps and child molesters. Now you have dumb shows like The Jonas Brothers and shit now on Disney. Bring back the good old days!
honestly these messages should be in more of the show that kids watch today...they're becoming less and less aware of the dangers and it's really scary. loved smart guy though :)
Fuck this episode reminds me of this one time of a crack head (drugie) stealing my bag i had to go up to her and ask for my bag back. i was so scared dude i cant believe it still happend and im 12 years old
when I grow up and become a father I would be really careful about my son/daughter. I would kill the bitches who try to touch them.
now i know why my parents are always over protecting me. cause I was followed and almost kidnapped and gays touched me :( I was also followed by a man driving his car eagerly wanting me to get in to "drive me home"
now my parents are even woried if I went for a little walk in the park. :( i'm 16 now. and they are still scared to death. :(
@TheBratcat1 wow thats creep..i had the same experience when i was 13, am 21 now , i always had some old men or drunk naked guys ask me if i need a ride home thy wud drive slowly on the side until i run away or get in, i sometimes got in it when my lil bro is with me. lookn bk now honestly im thankful im stil alive n they didnt indanger me.i didnt knw it ws dangerious n no1 warn or teach me abot his thngs..Kids today need shows like ths to remind or warn them bt the danger out thre..
I think a lot of the good disney shows got taken off b/c they were kinda on the mature side. There were once a lot of smart shows with intelligent humor that didn't dumb kids down.
