  • He use to go to my high school narbonne c:

  • hey dude this is pretty awesome, i favourited this, im a huge tarantino fan, was nice to see you put a bit of effort into this .........

  • This is really go0d.

  • Some stereo sound would've been nice; Even for a 15 year old.

  • to UtubeRiddler, all i have to say is FALSE. explain to me how you get into college without a highschool diploma? which, tarantino did not receive due to the fact that he dropped out of school at 16.

  • @niggazach Well if you do research you know that el camino college is a community college. You dont need a high school diploma until you transfer to a 4 year anniversary. My brothers attend el camino college. So you could attend.

  • what camera did he first get?

  • @maletsas Super 8 camera, those old vintage ones.

  • This is wrong. Quentin Tarantino Moved from Tennessee when he was 2 years old to a city named torrance, california near Los Angeles. This documentary is wrong. You should correct this. Plus he went to a community college in torrance named El Camino College. I grew up in Los Angeles Near Torrance.

  • sub-tull dialogue?

  • im so jealous of quentin!

  • Cool story bro!

  • i think that you have done a good critic right now despite the fact that i am a fan of Q.T. nice!!!!

  • Good essay but Pulp Fiction is still good.

  • this is actually really impressive for 15 years old

  • Not Bad! I had not idea he beat down oliver stone. That's great

  • The cannes film festival in paris? You dumb american, CANNES is the name of the town where the festival takes place, not paris!

  • 1:09 that's from Four Rooms..... ¬____¬

  • Good work on this vid. Thanks for posting.

  • cool vid man, interesting

  • He jumped oliver stone? Lmfao, he wrote the script and sold it to him. Just like he did for natural born killers accept different director.

  • What about True Romance? Quentin wrote that and Tony Scott directed it and Quentin actually liked it! Except QT wanted Clarance and Alabama to die at the end, but TS liked the characters so much he revamped the ending so they would live. Pretty cool huh!

  • Finally I found a descent documentary on Tarantino. It's time for these faggot directors of 2009 to come up with another Pulp fiction.

  • quentin your the greatest

  • Palme dworr, hehehehe, nice pronunciation.

  • a retarded kid

  • quenton jumped stone for directing natural born killers badly? is that a fact?

  • He later took his name out of the credits for hating it so much.

  • the dvd of pulp fiction wasn't even in store six years ago so how yo manage to have so clip of the dvd

  • a lot of that stuff isn't true

  • Dude, you have to be fucking kidding me, the cannes film festival in PARIS? Do you even fucking know where Cannes is?! I hope you failed miserably, fucking horrible facts, worst narration, but I have to hand it you beautiful editing, just drop out of school man and start your own company you have a future there.

  • lol ok the reality is - I was like 15 when I made this. Like 6 years ago. And I doubt that I wrote this off the top of my head - probably a plethora of bad sources across the internet. But ya - my call to use em I guess.

And as far as the narration....like I said man - you're listening to a 15 year old kid, so Im not sure how much stock you want to put into critiquing it.

  • yes but you had to know where the fuck Cannes is. Jesus fucking Christ

  • you mispronounced "subtle"

  • you are amazing.I love you

  • The video is well edited, however the narration is really poor, even for a high school student.

At least 30% of the facts represented are incorrect, you sometimes mumble when speaking into a cheap microphone, your choice of words seemed improvised and off script, you also skipped Jackie Brown (it was mentioned once) and focused on the lesser Four Rooms. The connection to Requiem for a Dream was interesting yet clunky. If I were the teacher of that English class Brett, I would've given you a C-.

  • I give it a C

  • Tarantino's mom never bought him a camera, he never jumped Oliver Stone, and a good deal of this info is incorrect. Mr. Brett novak your project was terrible and i'm hoping you didn't get a good grade on this.

  • the four rooms bit was ripped off a short story by roald dahl!

  • It's pronounced Palm Door. Not Palm Do'ar.

  • there is some incorrect facts

  • good job bro.

  • thanks for the video!

    thanks for do it

  • it was the fukin 95 oscars

  • really great!

  • if it wasnt for quentin tarantino i wouldnt be the man i am today so many of my traits have came from idea's i liked in pulp fiction

  • stfu you idiot.

  • Quentin tarantino is a fucking wacky that's why he owns making movies.

  • thank you for making this vid

  • Very good. Impressive. Congrats!.

  • Yea, this was very good!

  • "He won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Festival in Paris"

Cannes is a town on the French Riviera, not a place in Paris...

  • SUB-TLE LOL

  • Man, ur the best, don't listen to this retards, Tarantino is a great man!!!

  • you are a retarted, no good, piece of shit on the ground and you wouldnt know what good directing or writing was for your life.

  • HAHAHA don't make me laugh chump.

  • quentin tarantino is my dad

  • I like it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • quentin tarantino didnt help make requiem for a dream!did he?

btw what software did u use to make this???

  • no, he influenced it with his style of directing.

  • Very nice editing, man.

  • Excellent job: I enjoyed this. (I only wish it were longer.)

  • I LOVE HIM

  • Pretty good except for the fact you totally spoil The Man from Hollywood!

  • tarantion did not invent the fast montage scene with exagerrated sound. Check Jan Svenkmejer's films: Faust, ALice, etc. Aronofsky is a genius in his own rite, but if your checking fro influences, look there. Great bio though.

  • That was a fucking cool little documentary!! I never realised that Quentin went to jail. Doesnt change what i think of him though, he still a legend!

  • Quentin is the best....only fuking the best...

  • you have taste...a very gifted chap..

  • Very nice biography. 10.10

  • this is great. seriously.

  • learn how to pronounce Subtle and Palm D'Or

The dialogue is all about subtext its not pointless

  • I was 16 when I made this dude.

  • Nicely done man

  • QT is great, his movies r so against the grain n brilliant. cant help but appreciate the talent this man brings to the movie scene

  • Tarentino is an one example of opportunity in our Nation, he had the freedom to do what he wanted, regardless of how tasteless his films are at times, he still found an audience and made money, lots of money!

  • i strongly disagree when you said he uses "meaningless dialog".

Icant believe you compared requiem for a dream to tarantino films...they are both totally different.

  • Fuck you.

If you think you can do better.

    Do better. Then say that.

but considering your a stupid fuck

on a computer putting successful people down cos your such a unsuccessful dick. i suggest you shut your mouth and make something of yourself you worthless shit.

  • Great, always a Tarantino fan!

  • It seems pretty rushed and misleading, man

  • he didn't jump oliver stone...

    it was a producer...

  • Wow lol you actually helped me out with a tarrantino project my self, great upload thanx.

  • nice job!

  • good job otherwise (I meant to add that on the last entry). The VO is very important in a piece like this. You have to speak clearly and pronounce words so that one can understand. It never hurts to have a friend or colleague whatever with a voice for this sort of thing.

  • Well although I dont disagree with you - I was like 16 when I did this. Whole thing was captured, edited and recorded in one day and was done for an english project - nothing to do with multimedia.

  • Your narration sound is poor. I can't make out certain words. The Oliver Stone part I couldn't make out-did 2:55 did Quentin think the directing was bad? 3:13- "continous pushing", what's that? You meant continuously pushing right? Voice over is important for this sort of thing..

  • good shit man. good shit.

  • Good job, what was your grade for this?

  • great job

  • good job

  • Well done. :)

  • this was helluh good. i watched it like 10 times. HAHA

  • Great job, man!

  • nice work! especially for being under the gun like you were!

  • That was incredible. A great self-maae biography that showed most of the good parts. 5/5 from me, good work!

  • fucking AWESOME

i might have to steal this if it comes up later in school :P

  • good work man, i didnt know Quentin was a drop out.

  • dude I thought it was fine. Good work!

  • Bravo! Great Job!

  • inspired movie by tarantino

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IhrtcAMKYw

  • Only thing is, other than the incorrect pronunciations of certain words, there was a number of informational errors. Good job doing it on the spot though, that's how I do all my crap for school too.

  • Well I do realize the pronunciation thing, but what informational errors?

  • wow this is really awsome i have to give you a lot of credit the editing was awsome. 5/5

  • Awesome doc man!

  • LOL @ ur name being used as tags. Good clip brett. I enjoyed it. You got some skillz in the editing dept.~

  • excellent man well done!

  • Solid editing. You should extend it and post it up. Clear up the narration a bit, and learn to say subtle (the b is silent). Other than that, good job.

  • nice work.. I learned a few things

  • I'm in high school. I've made stuff. I know what a

bitch it can be (having few resources, etc.) Don't think your voice was that great, kinda low and hard to hear at parts. The narration was well written though, and the editing was crisp and smooth. Liked it plenty. What else you got?

  • HES AWESOME!!!!!

    YAH WOO

  • great editing and cutting all this footage together and putting a sharp narrative to it all. It holds up pretty damn for someone who made it in High School at the time. Kudos to you.

  • wow...great

    I love Quentin
