How clever! The contrast between the sophistacted Hollywood music the visuals really works and somehow brings out the horror of the possible reality far more than some sort of catastrophic soundtrack would do. Top notch work.
The trouble is, if one country gets rid of their nukes, would it really make others get rid of theirs too? Logically it ought to, but I bet it wouldn't work because people don't think about this logically.
So many people round the world now see it as a point of national pride to have nukes, look at what has happened in India and Pakistan for example. It seems like the genie is out of the bottle and can't be put back in. :-(
Hunkering under lean-to doors, eating franks and beans out of the can and defecating in a bucket in front of the family is the best the manual "Protect and Survive" can recommend? Pleeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzz!
Its Not surviveable 1/. Your Radio will Not Work From The Nukes Electro Magnetic Pulse the thing is most of the very well to do rich and government have high class fall out shelters Not junk make believe like in video
I urge everyone on this site to forward this to their MP, (Congressman or Senator)to curb future spending on the so called nuclear detterent.
£65 BILLION is going to be wasted on Trident- money that could easily be invested in transport infrastructure improvement, schools, healthcare and social welfare.
£65 Billion on the worlds most expensive firework!
What a brilliant video - amazing how the pictures match the music. There's something really creepy about the blithe Fred Astaire track mixed with the worrying tips for surviving a nuclear holocaust.
This video was great - right up until the stupid 'No Trident replacement' at the end.

You CANNOT combine thermonuclear armageddon with comedy. Oh alright, so you can.
First nuclear protest message that nearly made myself pee laughing.
Grew up in 70's London. We knew that if the bomb dropped, we were little piles of radioactive dust- no matter how much sand or heavy luggage we used.
Fantastic.
