  • 4:46 iS THAT OSCARDE LEON? niiiiiiiiiiiice

  • @juanpi56 yeah it is ! llolaras !

  • what about a fretless p-bass or fretless j-bass? ive always wanted one of those and salsa bass lines are really fun to play... so fretted or non fretted?

  • oddly enough I feel fretless doesnt give the thump needed for that upright sound. fretless bass gives more mwah, not the thudd you get from fretted. Plus hey it's way easier to play lol

  • Im gonna try to record it someday soon,so i can show you what i mean.. It sounds really good actually! :D

Good luck with your music man,all the best wishes to you, compadre

  • Hahah, amigo you're a really funny guy.. But you got some great tips and advice man, seriously! :D.. In my group we play salsa with the kickdrums and all that.. But im coming up with a new way to play salsa,a new pattern or something, dont know what to call it really.. But what i do is that i sometimes play the "Piano Tumbao" on the bass, and it gives the salsa a really heavy and modern sound! :D And i always try to put some funk/rock in the salsa patterns now and then also. Some slap here and there

  • some good stuff....this dude reminds me of Ali G the way he talks....haha

  • Plus guess what I love drum'n'bass too :p

  • man yyoure not latino but you surely feel and play like one....very knledgable bout the salsa world...damn u play as good as bobby valentin.

  • hell no I don't lmao ! but thanks a lot !

  • man, please keep posting vids., i gotta go practice, you've inspired me my brother.

  • so great to hear ! thanks a bunch !

  • Correction My Brother: The Original Ampeg baby bass was made from a material called UVEXl, Not Fiberglass. I should know I own one for many years and also looked up The Hoistory of the Ampeg bass. Now the lastest ones from Azola, to Ray Ramierez and an anniversary Ampeg Baby Bass that was released a few years ago are made Fiberglass.

  • Thanks a lot, didn't know that. UVEXI... hmm, gotta love those revolutionary 50s plastic names ! ;-)
