The thing that makes this performance great is that you have all parts in understanding. Mahmoud understands the band and they understand him almost flawlessly. All members are fabulously talented and the whole feel is so chilled out it needs no introduction.

Mahmoud is an Ethiopian musical icon and Badume Band is unquestionably the best non-Ethiop band that performs Ethiopian tunes. Mela means "plan or solution" and the gist of the lyrics go something like this: "I need a plan, a plan, and need no love other than with you." The tenor solo at 4:21 is super duper chill.
