    Hello Mbongeboy,

It means you could have also listened to Papa Douala in those days, because he was the one supplying fresh fish from Douala throug Loum to Tombel and Kumba, passing through Ebonji.

    Ah, gooooooood old songs!!!!

    Saidou, from Yaounde Cameroon.

  • L OFTEN LISTEN TO THIS GOOD SOUND FROM RADIO BUEA, GOOD OLD DAYS IN K-TOWN,LAWYER ENAW STREET.-R-I-P PETER NJANG

  • @mbongekumbe

    Hello Mbonge Boy,

This was music in vogue with Pap Douala blasting it around Tombel and Kumba between 1968 and 1970. I was in Ebubu primary school then.

    Saidou, from Yaounde Cameroon.

  • What a thought-provoking music! Every singers should learn from him, Nico

  • What a thought-provoking music, sigers should learn from HIM, Dr Nico.

  • DR Nico looked like one of my brothers. How beautiful songs I thought I will never hear this song again I am now 51 years old. Oh Thank you Malala.

  • I prefer the soukous version. Faster....

  • This is great: I was in Primary 3, 1966, when these songs were en vogue. Reminds me of my Tombel School days

  • Beautiful, this song is one of my earliest memories of enjoying Lingala music when I was a child, along with Cherie Bondowe.

  • The congolese people are greatest musicians on th planet earth. The world is yet to see and hear the best of them

  • Bravo Dr Nico de nous laisser des notes de guitare aussi claire et savoureuse et la musique est emballante

  • @Arth4 ,

You are right: Very clear stikes of the guitar, with no mixup of strings.

  • Real wonderful songs, they remind me of good old days.

Late Dr. Nico was MOTO WA KUOTEA MBALI

  • Fiesta Sukisa hoyee...

    Joshua Odera.

  • An amazing man by the name "kiri-kiri" comes to my mind on hearing this... but think he's killed during one of the Ug civilian wars.

  • I miss that Time...snifff....

  • Just Beautiful !

  • During those days when everything was total real peace -

  • Oh yes...peace and love..I miss that Time...sniffff...

  • c_bon

  • Let me just state that this is the first ever Congolese song I ever heard back in 1967.

It blew me away even though I was just a kid.

It's Dr. Nico but I believe Tabu Ley sang on this tune. And the amazing guitars!

  • bracket215. This was African Fiesta Soukisa of Dr. Nico. Tabu Ley was not part of this group. The other half of the original African Fiesta was led by Tabu Ley. It was called African Fiesta Le Peuple and later changed it's name to Afrisa International.

  • That's interesting. You seem to know a lot about them.I heard this song when I was about 5years old.

  • This was the SONG!!! MAWA!!!

  • Pure Congo music, keep it up.

  • The first notes I ever learnt on a guitar was the solo of this heavenly song....

  • man, great music, thanks god I found it. Please post more old school music. Iwill direct my friends to this.

  • I own this CD,a great collection of pre-1980 congo music. Just superb stuff,no flashy videos,no hip-hop stylings, just old school Zaire sounds!
