The "Mortal Kombat" series that is being released is a REIMAGINING that has caused quite a storm of buzz in the gaming community. Being a reimagining, it will most certainly NOT have much to do with the original MK, no magic/other realms etc. etc. Just because it doesn't follow the games doesn't make it bad, it just isn't THE MK that we all know and love. These guys are actually doing a good job, unlike the SF movies and the Live DBZ movie.
